Values

Article posted September 16, 2010 at 01:39 AM GMT0 • comment • Reads 177

Caring: Is looking after people if they are hurt and also caring for the environment not the opposite of caring .
Respect: Is respecting adults and not back chatting elderly people and respect is respecting other peoples belonging ,and treating others the way you want to be treated.
Honesty: Is telling the truth and giving back things that don ‘t belong to you. Don’t blame things on other people when it’s your flute.
Responsible: Is taking care of your own and others belongings and being a role model to your younger students. So if you are responsible your teacher can trust you.
Perseverance: Is pushing your self even if your coming last and it’s still good to carry on.

Leave their bodies alone.

People destroy their bodies to get into the Ripley’s Believe it or not and the Guinness book of Records. When you get piercings all over your boy they can get infected with bacteria that could result in an infection. If you were to take them out there will be a lot of tiny holes all over your body and you will look like a freak same with people who cover their entire bodies with tattoos .If I was running down the road with a friend or family member looking like this I would be embarrassed. Wouldn't you? It will humiliating for them walking down a crowded road too I imagine. Imagine having a slimy snake go up your nose and come out your mouth just so you can gain attention? It is both dangerous and cruel. People should leave their bodies alone and not destroy them.

Two of our players got hurt one broke his nose and one got stitches under his eye and broken cheek bone. One of the magpies players chocked on his tong or his mouth grad. It looked saw were we wore sitting. His name was Dan Kirkpatrick from the Blue’s rugby team. He set up a good try for Zach Gilford start throw the middle.

We should not have an internet password.

Article posted July 29, 2010 at 03:35 AM GMT0 • comment • Reads 192

It is a daily hassle for teachers. If your teacher has a group on the mat she has to drop ever thing and it will interrupt with her teaching and she has to go and enter it in five computers every day. How would you feel with walking back and forth every time someone needs to use the internet? Your legs might hurt at night and you might scream out loud in frustration. Without a password life would be fantastic in the classroom with less interruption to learning. The password has got mixture of numbers and letters and it is difficult to type.

Good things-My story matched my writing if I imagined it in my head.

Improvements –I need more persuasive words in my persuasive paragraph.

Why our school caretaker is the best.

Article posted July 22, 2010 at 03:35 AM GMT0 • comment • Reads 220

Tony cares about Lynmore Primary’s environment .If your class ball is on the roof Tony will get his big stick thing and get it down. I am very proud of Tony and Gary I wish I was at Lynmore for another two years so read on to find out why we have the best caretaker in Rotorua.
Day after day Tony helps clean up disgusting things around the school . Tony gives up his time to clean the air cons and windows covered with spider webs. The air cons suck in germs and dust and it could make Tony sick. But he still soldiers on! Tony bring in the big vacuum to clean blood left behind from injuries ,spilt paint that kids have knocked on the floor and brings the big vacuum cleaner to suck up revolting spew up from tummy bugs children collect. How would you feel doing this job?
Tony goes around the school looking after the environment making the school gardens look like a fantastic home show garden. Tony goes round to every garden and pulls weeds out: big ones ,little ones. If the soil is overflowing Tony will take pieces of wood to put around as edging so the soil is not overflowing . He brings the leaf blower to blow the leaves away and Gary brings the leaf sucker upper and sucks it up. Tony is the best garden caretaker in ROTORUA.
Does your caretaker ever join in to your communities? Or has he made props to make the communities fantastic and colourful not dull or un-colourful ? Well we have two that do the same thing. Tony and Gary both make props and join in with fantastic acting skills.
There we have it some simple things why Lynmore has the best caretaker in ROTORUA and New Zealand. Some are good and some yuck never the less. I know all Lynmore students and teachers feel proud and privileged to have Tony and Gary around.
Hayden Everiss ,room 2, year 6, Lynmore School.
