Author-Heather Gudenkauf The Weight of Silence is the first novel by Heather Gudenkauf. Heather attended the University of Iowa and earned a degree is elementary education. Gudenkauf is living in Dubuque, Iowa. She is married with three children and has a dog. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, running, being with her family, and reading. The Weight of Silence is a New York Times and USA Today bestselling novel. She is currently writing her next book.
