In this book the scientist take babies all over the world, and as a baby they inject DNA from an animal into them to see if they will grow wings or evolve from human to wolf. If this were happening today how would you feel. Do you agree with this?

Literary Elements

In the book Maximum Ride: The Angel Experiment imagery is used quite a bit. For instance they are in the middle of a concert in New York and they describe whats around them, what they smell, how they feel, and how the air taste on their tongue.

They also use foreshadowing in this book. They always end a fight with the erasers, and then you just know that its going to happen again until they get caught. This will keep happening until they are exposed to the world, or they get caught by the erasers.

This book takes you all over the United States while they are trying to find the institute where they were created. The main city they are in is New York which is where they think at first is the destination of the institute. Later on they find out that this is the location for the institute and find other creations that have failed. This book is during the modern day. People and places are described the same as if you were to go look at it yourself.

The main character of my book is Max. She is the leader of the flock. She takes on many task while trying to save herself and the rest of the gang. Max is told she is going to save the world. Max is just an ordinary girl that was injected with avian DNA. The rest of the flock sees her as a hero, she is always there for them. She would take a bullet for every single one of the flock members. The narrator tells me that she is heroic and willing to do anything to save the world and the flock that she has by her side the entire time.

Maximum Ride: The Angel Experiment

Article posted May 5, 2010 at 06:43 PM GMT0 • comment • Reads 49

Maximum Ride is a series of books that explains the adventure of Max and the gang trying to find the institute they were created. The book I have read is The Angel Experiment which is the first of the series. They were born ordinary kids, but at this institute they were injected with avian DNA. Jeb which was one of the white coats at the institute helped Max and a bunch of other kids excape. Later on he died or so they thought, really they had no idea. The institute found where these kids were living and they came and kidnapped Angel which is the youngest of the group.

After Angel is kidnapped the gang is out after her to find her. At first they leave Iggy and Gasman at there hideout to keep a look out and make sure they don't come back. They  have no idea where Angel is heading because she got on a helicopter and they couldn't keep up. They are flying blind up in the air trying to find the institute where they took her. Meanwhile Iggy and Gasman are back at home, and they make a bomb and attack the Erasers that were still climbing the mountain they were on. After they attack the Erasers they all come up the mountain and then they fly away, and try to find the rest of the gang.

They found Angel and they are still hiding from the Erasers and white coats that are following them. Max is told that she is chosen to save the world, and that it's all a test what they are doing to her. She doesn't believe them one bit. As they try to find the institute where they were made they are constantly running from danger that is following them. That is just a brief summary of the first book of the series. I have yet to read the rest of the books in the series.

What I like to read!

Article posted May 4, 2010 at 06:23 PM GMT0 • comment • Reads 71

Well I like to read books of many kinds. Most of all I like to read mystery books, they keep you on your toes. My most favorite book is probably the dictionary, if I had to choose one. I love to read and I can't get enough of it.

And that's all I have to say about that.
