Artemis Fowl Artemis Fowl is a small, pale skinned Irish boy. He is normally a very mellow person, who hardly ever loses his cool and very calm under pressure, which is set upon him very often.

He is a child prodigy, and can get himself out of any situation, no matter how difficult it can seem. Other people see Artemis as almost cold and heartless, not caring about anyone else except himself and making his family wealthier.
The narrator reveals that Artemis is not as selfish as everyone believes, but that his goal for wealth is to keep his mother sane when their father disappears. He cares deeply for his family, for Butler, his bodyguard and soon after meeting Holly, finds a deep respect for The People. Artemis is in truth a deep down good person.
