tThis is my antarctic flag. I made it to repersent all the famous antarctic things. Each bubble on the flag has a place of which has a base or owns part of antarctica. No one owns antarctica but some places take care of it. also the bubbles repersent the famous sea and the snow flakes repersent the snow. I also put a penguin in there beacuse when you think antarctica you think penguins. I think my flag repersents antarctica very well.

In language arts class we are learning about Greek and Latin word parts. In this assignment we were supposed to draw a picture that related to the word part that we picked from a hat. For example I got ped. Ped means foot, So I decided to draw foot prints on the beach with imprints that say ped. I also added seashell and dog paw prints witch really helped set up the scene. I really think this helped the learning process a lot.

In art class we did a “hiding in the art room” project using adobe photo shop. We were taught how to crop paste and put pictures together. For example we took a picture of ourselves and a picture of an area in the class room. We then downloaded our pictures, Cropped ourselves out, and pasted us into the picture. We were then able to make each other big or small. You could blend in or hide in a corner or have what ever pose was possible. This was one of the most interesting projects I had ever done with pictures.

The Eye

I learned many things about the eye in the unit we just had in our science class. The eye has many different parts. It has a retina, optic nerve, iris, pupil, lens etc. The eye is very exciting. The big things I learned were mostly about the parts in our eye that we do not see. Well for example the retina, witch is the whole lining of the eye. The retina helps the clear jelly do its job. The clear jelly holds the shape of your eye and also makes sure everything is in place. Like the lens, without the lens we would not be able to focus in on many things and without the clear jelly the lens would not stay in its form and place. Now you are probably wondering how you actually see and get the messages to the brain to see. The optic nerve does that for you by turning the color and light into messages for the brain. The eye has many parts but do you know the parts that no one really talks about or you can not see?

The Eye
The eye is a very interesting part of your body. There are many different parts to it too. You wouldn't think that the eye is so fascinating but it is.

The biography I read was called JK Rowling the wizard behind harry potter. This book was about JK's life growing up. JK was born in England July 31st 1966. She has a sister Di who really inspired her to write and make stories. Jk loved writing, she moved all over the place but finally settled down for collage. After collage her first job was to be a secretary. JK did not like this job so she quit. Then began her writing career after other jobs. Harry Potter was rejected many times before one publisher picked it and it sold around the world. JK then stared the seconded book in her series and all the fans were hungry for more!

Living in space is an adventure but there are also some consequences. Most astronauts live in a space quarters and there is not much room to move around, not counting the fact that there is no gravity and you float everywhere! Also you have to make sure everything is working right. The longest time you would be in space to orbit the moon would be six months.
Now you are probably wondering what would you eat when your in space anything? Well in any circumstance you are going to eat, And you usually eat the same things you would eat here on earth. In space you can't have crumbs no crumbs allowed! But you can have many other things like, mac and cheese, shrimp cocktail, beef, steak, rice, tea, pears, and many more. When they first used to go to space they would eat food out of something like toothpaste tube. Yuck! Can you imagine that! Luckily things have changed.
Aside from eating what about sleeping. In space you usually sleep in cramped beds or sleeping bags that strap you in. Sometimes your hands float up in the air and you really can't help it. It doesn’t sound very comfortable but there is no gravity and you have to sleep.
When you wake up in the morning what do you do? Well after a good nights sleep its time to go to work. In space there is a lot of work to do. Astronauts do many experiments. Their goal this mission(mission STS 133) is to bring there man-like robot to the space station. The robot is supposed to control the space station until later missions. Any way there is other things to do in space like maintenance, monitors, health, and much more!
Well as you see space is a real adventure no gravity, The Moon, weightlessness, and everything else! Also its a challenge the work and begging cramped so its a hard place to be. But in the end you are as happy as ever. So Now you know that to live in space is a hard but very fun job!

I walk through the old white door that I have seen a while ago. I'm shivering all over but I am still confident. “i can do it, just be yourself.” I said in my head. A women in a navy blue dress enters from a pitch black curtain and says “ its time for you to come in.” I freeze but finally a brainwave is sent to my legs to edge forward. I head through the same darkness as she did. There I am six eyes darting at my head. I scared, still manage to do my audition in success. My 30 minute manage ended perfectly. It was a great experience and I can't wait for the first practice.
