Antarctica Flag

Article posted June 16, 2011 at 02:54 PM GMT • comment • Reads 976

This is my flag i drew of  Antarctica. I drew the theomometer on the side for how low the temputres the ca get to be in this freezing continet. I drew the snow flakes because in Antarctica they usually have many snow blizzards. The mountains in the backround represent the high snowy hills in Anarctica. The penguin is in my flag because i learned that the penguin is one of the most popular birds in Anarctica.

Stock Market Report

Stock Market Report

This year the students in my grade had to pick 3 stocks that they would like to invest in. The three stocks I picked are Macy's, Bank of America, and Aeropostale. There are things I would and wouldn't change investing in these stocks. Here are the reasons why.
There are 3 companies I picked for my stock market project, Aeropostale, Macy's, and Bank of America. I picked Aeropostale because it is a well known clothing store, I like the close and I shop there, and it is in most the malls across America. I chose Macy's because it is also is a popular and there are many Macy's in big city's. It has all different kinds of close styles for all different types of customers. Macy's also sells home supplies. My last company that I picked for stock exchange is Bank of America. I picked this back because it brings in lots of money from the customers. This bank is also as popular as the other places a picked. My last reason I picked Bank of America is because my parents go to that bank, and I have gotten good reviews from it.
There are many things I would change, and keep the same in the stock market exchange project. I would change my mind about picking Aeropostale for a stock sell. I would change it to another store that sells the same thing but a more popular clothing store. I would have changed it to a store that sells a different style of clothing. I would also change this stock for another clothing store that sold things at higher prices, that way they could go on more sales and more people would want to buy from there. I wouldn't change Macy's. I think that Macy's made a good amount of money, I do not regret picking Macy's. I would also keep Macy's in my stock exchange because it is in many good locations, it is popular and it makes good money! I would most definetley change the fact that I chose Bank of America. It is not a very common bank, in which case it doesn't bring in a lot of money. I also lost money from buying this bank.
I learned many things about stock market in the last 4 months, I made good and bad decisions, here is some advice about stock market! One thing that I would have done if I got to start over, I would buy more stocks. Because buying more stocks can get you more money, depending on the company. I would also make sure that it is a company that you like, or have interest in. That way it doesn't get boring when you are doing research. One more piece of advice is to pick a well known store. You should pick a popular store because, the better the store is at selling things, the more money that company will make!
As you can see there are many things I learned about stock marketing. This is a project I wish I could continue with. My favorite part of this was learning more about how to spend money.

I love Justin Bieber -Valentine

Article posted February 11, 2011 at 02:08 PM GMT • comment • Reads 835

Dear Justin Bieber,

My love for you is more than the distance it takes to get to the sun, 93 million miles away! Every time I see you I feel as if I am a yellow star in its nova stage. You are the codylendon to my eye. I feel like you can protect me, like a seed coat protects the seed. When I'm not with you my heart is like the big bang theory. It feels like a waning moon. When I think of you, my  tide is at its highest- spring tide!

Just a Dream

Article posted December 3, 2010 at 05:29 PM GMT • comment • Reads 1292

Just a dream
Walking home from school on a cloudy afternoon. Listening to my ipod, texting FSCA, suddenly my phone and ipod die on full charge. Hearing the foot steps behind me make me tremble. I turn around, no one is there. My pace grows faster and faster until i am in a complete and full sprint. Now all i see when I turn around is a tall man in a shadow figure. He is jogging at a very slow pace. I cut a corner behind a large dumpster. The man looks both ways then runs faster, still going straight. I sprint to my house trying not to make any noise. Before I know it, I am in my bed, safe and sound. I wake up, it was only just a dream I say to my self.

Living in Space

Living in Space

Life in Space involves great experience! You have to go through about 1,000 days of training to be an astronaut! You must know about living, space clothing, food, working, hygiene, and sleeping in space!

Living in space inside the space shuttle it often times smells like fuels, this is because of all the fuels that make the engine in the space shuttle run. Astronauts usually say it is very hard to live in space because of the small area you have to move in. Astronauts also say it is very cool to be in space because when you look out the window all you see is the Earth you live on.

Space clothing is very important in space. Usually they use Russian or U.S clothing supplies. They only get to bring 1 pair of shorts, 2 sweaters, 2 shirts, and 1 pair of pants. They only get to change every 10 days! The space suits that they must where weigh up to 400 pounds here on Earth, but in space they weigh nothing!

Food in space is also very important! When they first built space shuttle's the astronauts had to eat and drink of of long tubes, well every thing but fruit and brownies. Now they have special ecquipment that they use to eat and drink! A n oven is provived on the space shuttle now, so are condiments. Liqued is drank out of a tube.

It is hard work to work in a space shuttle! One person observes space and Earth inside of the shuttle while the others do the rest of the work, such as grahping, and organizing data. Sometimes the astronauts get a break to relax and play around in the shuttle.

Hygiene is one of the most important things to have while on a space shuttle. Expessialy when you are in space with nogravity as long as up to 6 months! The people in the space shuttle have the same hygiene as people on Earth. While the astronauts are in the space shuttle they must still work out because if they dont then they will loose hygiene! The astronauts wash their hair, brush their teeth, shave, and go to the bathroom just as they would on Earth! But showering they don't do as often as they would on Earth.

Astronauts go to bed just as people on Earth. When they go to bed at night they are attached to a the walls in their sleeping bags.

And that is Life in space for astronauts in a space shuttle!

Personal Narrative: Volleyball

Article posted November 2, 2010 at 07:18 PM GMT • comment • Reads 912

"Subs!" Coach says to the ref, in her loudest most frightening voice. She tells me to go in. There are no spots left, but server. I go to the bottom right of the court, which is where the server stands. The ref blows the whistle, my face as red as it is on a cold winter day. I bounce the two times with my fist. Then I rest the ball on the plam of my hand to hit it. I take a deep breath, then hit it with my all. The ball goes over the net. Two of the people on the other team dove for the ball, one of them wanting it just as more as the other. They both miss! I am so proud of myself and so is my team! My coach gives me a high-fife as we finish the game, and tells me I did a great job! This was the best game of my life!
