I chose the colors of the Antarctica because Antarctica is mostly ice so blue fit the color of the flag. I had the shape on the flag in a sort of mountainous way because Antarctica has lots of mountains in the middle. This is the reason why I made my Antarctica flag this way.

In math class, we were given ten thousand dollars to invest into stocks. We could only choose stocks from the NYSE or NASDAQ. Many of my friends picked familiar stocks such as Apple, Wal-Mart, and Google. That is exactly why I chose different stocks than everyone else. The stocks that I invested in were Amazon.com, Southern Copper, and Hallmark. In the following paragraphs, you will learn about why I picked those stocks, what I would have done differently to them, and advice that I would give to people about buying stocks.
The companies that I invested in were Amazon.com, Southern Copper, and Hallmark. I picked these stocks mostly because my dad had invested in all of them and told me that they were all rising. I picked the stock Hallmark because it was on the bullish list, which meant it was predicted to rise dramatically. I also picked Amazon because I thought ahead for the holidays, which meant that a lot of things were going to be sold. These are the reasons why I invested in these companies
Every stock was different, so I would change different things to the different stocks. For the stock Amazon, I could have invested more into this stock because it rose $40 from its original price. For the stock Southern Copper, I would keep it the same because it was rising but kept losing prices as well. I should of invested less in the Hallmark stock because it went down two dollars. These are the changes that could of been made.
The advice that I would give to people who are about to buy stocks are listen to the bullish are bearish reports, think about upcoming holidays, and penny stocks. You would want to listen to bullish and bearish reports because they are almost always right. Upcoming holidays are big times for businesses with selling products, so try and buy them when Christmas or Easter is near. The last one is never buy penny stocks because more than likely they will never raise in price. This is the advice that I would give to the people who are about to buy stocks.
Now that I know all this information, I will know what to invest in if I ever were to invest in a stock. The information for bullish and bearish stocks are very important to know, and holidays are a great way to gain money from a stock. I feel that I know a lot more than I did before about stocks, actually I never knew about stocks. This project has taught me a lot about this subject. I hope that in the future this project will be something very useful in life.

Hiding in the Art Room

In Art Class we had a project were we had to take a picture of ourselves and then take a picture of an object that we would be hiding in. What I did was take a picture of the laminator and then take a picture of me laying on the ground. I put myself in the backround so that it looked like I was pushing myself through the laminator. We then had to shrink ourselves so that we were able to be seen in the picture hiding. Last, I erased part of my body just to make the picture more realistic.

Rock Cycle
Rock Cycle
Right now I am happily living my life as a metamorphic rock. Then, out of nowhere the Earth’s crust starts to move! I have no defense & can’t move so I hope for the best. That doesn’t happen though. I am slowly being dragged closer & closer to the Earth’s mantle. After about two hundred years I am in the stage of melting. My rough texture is being taken away from the immense heat. Once I am done melting, I go into the magma stage. This is when my melted particles form a new type of rock. I am now hoping that I turn into an Intrusive Igneous rock. That is exactly what I turn into. I am now going into the crystallization phase. This is when my roasted particles to into crystals. This stage is supposed to be the most relaxing since you can’t feel anything. Well whoever told me that was absolutely wrong. It was very painful having crystal just jet out of you. It was like having a sword going right through my body. When I am done with this torturous stage I have finally finished. I have turned into an igneous rock. The real question now is what kind of igneous rock am I. I check my body and figure out immediately. I am a diorite rock! Even though I wish I was granite, it still feels great to be a diorite. When I check my body over again, the crystals don’t look like they did that much pain to me. I am proud of myself getting through this tough process.
I love being an intrusive igneous rock. I hope that I never change into a metamorphic rock. Those kinds are really boring. Well when I am talking about this, I don’t notice that the ground is moving. Now it gets really scary. I am dragged into the Earth and I am turning into a sedimentary rock!! Amazing! I never thought I would change. Weathering & transportation go by pretty quick but those were the easy ones. Now it is time for the toughies. I must now go through deposition and lithification before changing into a sedimentary rock. The deposition part takes about two hundred thousand years, but that wasn’t as long as the lithification part. That took ten million years!!! That was when I turned into a beautiful sedimentary rock. The sedimentary rock that I formed into was a clastic shale. I thought I was the most beautiful shale ever. Life is going to be great being a sedimentary rock.
Well when I said life was going to be great, I was totally wrong. Being a sedimentary rock is very boring. All you do is sit there and watch dust and weeds blow right by you. Now I wish that I was still an igneous rock. That was the only interesting life I had. Very interesting life. Well now I am watching the tumbleweeds roll right by me when a hole in the ground opens up. The hole is about five inches wide and two inches across. About the same size that I am. While I am looking at the hole, it starts to expand. It takes twenty years, but in those years the hole reaches me. I fall in the hole and I am thinking that I am now going to go back to the same old life of being a metamorphic rock. Well, that is what happens. I go through the stage of metamorphism which is the longest stage I have been in my life. I took one hundred million years to go through metamorphism. After, I am the ugly self that I was before, a gneiss rock. Once again the rock cycle has failed me and I am myself once again. Ugh!

Reasons for the Seasons

Autumn and spring: This is when the sun is directly over the equator. The real name for these seasons is the Vernal equinox and the Autumnal equinox. The equinox is when the day is at equal length. Twelve hours of daylight, twelve hours of darkness. The reason this happens is because the Earth is at a tilt of 23.5 degrees so when the northern hemisphere is experiencing the Vernal equinox, the southern hemisphere is experiencing the Autumnal equinox. Summer and winter: This is when the sun is directly over either the tropic of Capricorn or cancer. When it is summer in the northern hemisphere, the sun is directly over the tropic of Cancer. When it is summer in the southern hemisphere, the sun is directly over the tropic of cancer. Summer and winter are also known as the summer solstice and the winter solstice. There is a reason for the seasons. It is because the Earth is on a tilt of 23.5 degrees which means that when it is summer in the northern hemisphere, this means that most of the sunlight is hitting there. When it is winter in the northern hemisphere, most of the sunlight is directing away from the northern hemisphere.
