Antartica Flag!!!

Article posted March 18, 2011 at 05:57 PM GMT • comment • Reads 1369

This is the flag that i made for Antartica. We made these flags in class, because it does not have a real flag. So we decided so see what flag would be the best. i did Earth with the animals that live in there on the flag. So that people could see what animals live there.  Then i did the stripes on the backround so that the earth would stand out and the American flag has stripes on it.

Article posted January 11, 2011 at 04:14 PM GMT • comment • Reads 65

This is a picture that i drew it has the meaning of Nat means born in the latin language. I had drawn a baby in a nursery it has just been born so i but NAThan means BORNie so that when you look at the picture you see that Nat means Born instead of the whole name! There are many of different words in the latin language that make up our human english language.

This is me i am hiding in my art room i am in a bees hive. I had picked this spot because i think that is was a very different place in the art room to hide. I had a ton of fun doing this project, i found it very intresting and i enjoyed it!

Eye

Article posted December 22, 2010 at 03:59 PM GMT • comment • Reads 762

This is my eye, the tiny black hole in the middle of my eye is the pupil. It lets light into the eye. When an eye get dust into it or gets dirt of sand into the eye, it has a tiny flushing system that takes the germ out of the eye, the eye has a tiny little hole at the end, which takes the dirt into the nostrol which this is then called mucas. So when a human has a stuffed up nose that just means that you have something in your eye. Also when you cry that is why you get a stuffy nose.

Living in Space

Article posted November 9, 2010 at 02:43 PM GMT • comment • Reads 1037

In space the astronaut have to share everything in space but their beds. A single room in space could be, a kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, living room, dining room. So if they have to eat dinner in a room then they might have to sit their and read a book or work in it. There is also no TV in space but they can talk the people on earth because they want to see how far they are In space.

In Space they eat, regular food that they would eat on Earth. Most people think that they have to eat food like powder in bag but that is not it at all. They get to eat steak and shrimp in space so they feel more at home in space that they do on Earth. A astronaut must make food for many different people or everyone on the shuttle or the ship. The food can not be very hot or very cold in space. Also their food as do them float. So if the are having shrimp and they are eating It might float around the cabin.

Sleeping in space in very difficult they must strap themselves down so that they do not float around the cabin because there is no gravity in space. When they are strapped down their arms float and they kind of look like they are upside down but they are not that is just what it is like in space with no gravity. If they did not get strapped down they would float they might brake something or even hurt themselves which would not be a very good thing to do while your many miles from home and you brake a bone.

When you are in space and you have to take a shower because hygiene is very important. You must as you would on earth take a shower! When you do this you have to take a small hose and a vacuum sort of thing and spay some water on yourself and them put some soap on them vacuum it all away. So that it does not go all over the space shuttle. The water could get onto the cabin and brake something. Also if you where having to wash your hands you would have to do the same thing as to taking a shower you would have to spray some water on your hands then take a vacuum and take the water away.

In space you have a lot of fun. But it is also work you have to exercise and stay in shape so that you can still fit into you space suit that is made just for you. Also you have to collect samples of rocks so that you may bring them back to earth and be sold for a lot of money for school so learn about and to teach students. You might be in space for a while a year or just a couple days what ever time the people on earth think that you need to be up there. Also a week before you cannot be with anyone who have to stay by yourself so that you do not get any germs that could get anyone or yourself while you are in space.

Moon letter

Article posted November 3, 2010 at 03:54 PM GMT • comment • Reads 75

Moons

I now see the moon outside of my window. I know what it is doing, it is 12:39 am and the moon is full. It is October 23nd 2010 I am on my balcony with my 3 best friends waiting to see what will happen next. I know that the moon is big very big. I know that all of the little tiny kindergartners who talk in snack time about how the moon is just one big cheese ball that when I was little I thought it was made out of cheese but it isn't sadly. I always wanted to dream about making the world's biggest cheesecake but now I know it is not possible. The moon is in our solar system and our Milky Way. It has mare soil and rocks on it that ARE NOT made out of cheese. I know that we don't have other planets in our Milky Way because it is just the Earth, Jupiter, Mars, Saturn, Neptune, Mercury, Uranus and there was Pluto but now it is a dwarf planet and it is not considered a real “planet”. It would take a couple hundred years to get to Pluto so for us humans on Earth, at this day and age it is not possible for a human, because they would die before they got to the Pluto. So all we can do now is only possible for us to send robots and computers to maybe take some pictures for us to see what the atmosphere is like there.

Soccer game

Article posted November 2, 2010 at 04:07 PM GMT • comment • Reads 52

You're running up the field and dribbling the ball, deffence all around you I can almost feel the crowd screaming my name. The rest of my team mates are running up with me shouting my name. I can see I my mind how my coaches face looks right now as like all of the other games. He will take his hat of it is in his....left hand and the mouth wide open. Kind of taking small but very close walks to the field to make sure he has a good view if something happens.. Then I do something that I know he would kill me for. I stop. There right there I stop look at the refree what is wrong she has the look on her face. All I know say is I know what to do I know feel it down my spine I know what is wrong right now do you know? Well my shoelace is untied.........
