Math stock project summary

Google is the Apple of my eye, but not without a refreshing Coca-Cola!
Doing this project, I learned a lot about stocks. I learned about the vocabulary, how stocks are bought and sold, and how they are priced. Overall, my stocks did okay. I invested in Apple, Google, and Coca-cola. One of the most important things to keep in mind when you are buying stocks is to make sure that you know what you are doing. Stocks are no joking matter, and you have to make sure that you are taking them seriously.
Apple did the best, and earned me the most money. Google lost a lot of money and it hurt the amount earned. Coca-cola lost some money too, but not as much as Google. Coca-cola earned a little bit of money, but Apple came out on top. I could’ve made about eight hundred dollars if it weren’t for Google. It lost a lot of money, so that brought my total amount of money down to $235.04. I think I should’ve done more research on which stocks I picked.
If I were to give advice to someone buying stocks, I would give them three tips. The first would be to make sure that you do your research! You never want to buy stocks without seeing how much money the companies are making or losing. If you buy a stock that is not making money, then you may lose a lot of money, and the stock will drag you down. The second tip is if you buy a stock, then you should keep it. If you constantly buy it and sell it, then you will not earn as much money. The stock may perform better over time if you do this. The third tip is to buy stocks from companies that you know of. This helps you because you are familiar with it, and you have a better understanding of the company’s product. As I said before, I learned a lot doing this project.
If I had to pick three things I would do differently, I would not have bought shares from Google. Google lost a lot of money and it dragged my portfolio down. I also would have bought more shares of Apple. This company did poorly at the beginning of the project, but now the share price is rising and making more money. If I had known Apple would have done this well, I would have bought more shares of it. The third change is that I would have done a little more research on the stocks that I picked. I would have looked at how the company has done in the past, and what kinds of new products are being made. This would help me to determine how the stock might perform in the future.
This stock project has really helped me to understand why and how people invest in stocks. Even though I did not make a lot of money, some of my classmates made thousands of dollars! If I had done things a little bit differently, maybe I could’ve made that much money. Even though I did not make thousands, I do not regret my stock picks. My picks helped me learn more about stocks and how they work and also the companies that sell them.

Antarctica Flag

This is a flag of Antarctica. I made this for Antarctica because it does not have a flag. I put icicles on Antarctica because it is very cold, and snowy there. I drew a map of Antarctica with McMurdo Station on it, because I wanted everyone to know where the United states base in Antarctica was. The reason that there is a seal is because seals are one of the many animals that live there. Penguins are, too. Did you know that it is illegal to touch a penguin in Antarctica? Well even though you can't touch them, they are cute, and there are a lot of them on Antarctica. That is why I drew two of them. The reason that I wrote "The continent with no owner," is because it is true. No one owns Antarctica, But many countries are in agreement on the ownership.

Dear Justin Bieber,
May your love be like the lifecycle of an apple. If you should fall, may you sprout seeds of love once again, and grow to be a beautiful flowered tree. You are the mystery that holds my supercluster together. You are the color to my spectrum, the prism that bends light to let rainbows into my life. Love is like the braille alphabet. When you learn it, you should be happy that you could experience such magic. When I see you, my heart reaches a spring tide. It gets high, and full of wonder. You are the water that catches my space pod when it descends from the sky. You are like a drop of water. So simple, yet you help me see things that I could never see before. You are the anther to my filament.
Love,
Gram

Previous to the storm:
A roaring fire inside the cozy cottage. The wind howling outside with flakes just starting to fall. I go and check the thermometer: 10 degrees. This storm seems as if it is coming on fast. I check the fridge to see if we have a lot of food, just in case we get snowed in. I walk to the computer and type www.weatherchannel.com into the URL bar. I check the weather for Rye, NH. As I check it, I think to myself, wow, I can't remember the last time that we got this much snow. We were supposed to get 2 feet. This storm was going to be brutal.
The storm
With one thousand flakes falling down by the second, I know that I won't be able to go anywhere for a while. I go outside to my driveway, and see over one foot of snow. Wow! It has only been two hours. I can't believe how much snow we have gotten. I walk back inside, and realize that I should probably shovel the driveway. I get out the shovel, and take a bit of snow, little by little, until I finally get the whole driveway. I walk back inside, make myself a cup of hot chocolate, and sit on the couch. I then realize that I will have to shovel the driveway again very soon.
After the storm
When it stops snowing, I go outside to check out the scene. I see all of my neighbors outside with their snow shovels. Everybody is now out of their cozy homes, and out In their driveways, ready to get rid of the snow. Snow can be a bad thing, because it is very dangerous to drive, and it is a pain to shovel and get out of the way. Then again, it is fun to sled on.

Hiding in the art room

This is my "hiding in the art room" project for art. I really enjoyed this because I love to crop pictures and do picture projects. In my picture, I am jumping, and trying to get out of a jar that I am trapped in. I loved experimenting with the pictures in this project. I had the idea for this picture because I love seaglass, and I saw the jar of seaglass. I thought that this would be a very good idea, and I think that it worked out great!

This is my eye. There are many different parts to the eye, and they are labeled on this picture. Your eyes are one of the most important things to help you communicate.
