New Zealand is a small island country in the south Pacific Ocean.
In New Zealand there are three main islands. Two are big and there are many small islands. Lake Taupo is the largest lake. The tallest mountain is Mount Cook. It is 3764 metres.
New Zealand gets lots of money from dairy farming, sheep farming, tourism and kiwifruit. We can get lots of money from kiwifruit.
In New Zealand we’ve got lots of sports. We have got rugby (the All Blacks), and soccer (the All Whites). Netball is a famous sport. Cricket is a sport in New Zealand. We have water sports too.

Once upon a time on a little mountain lived a girl and a little boy and a little moose. One day the little boy got sick.
“You need a special flower soup to help you get better,” said the little girl.
The next day the girl got up and said, “I am going to the big mountain to get the little flower to help you.”
The girl got on the moose and off the little girl went.
“But wait,” said the little boy. “Are you going to be alright?”
“I will be,” said the little girl, and off she went.
“Bye,” said the little boy.
The girl got to the river. The sun was bright and the girl went to the big mountain.
The girl got to the big mountain and said to the moose, “Look - the flower.”
The girl got the flower and got on the moose and the girl went home. The girl got back to the river. “Yay, I’ll be home soon.”
The girl got to the little mountain and the girl got home.
“I got the flower,” said the girl.
She got off the moose and went inside.
“Yay,” said the boy.
The girl got the flower and made a pot of flower soup. The boy got better and the boy and the girl and the moose lived happily ever after.

On March the 9th we went to Maungatautari. It was the Livewires Room 5 that went to Maungatautari. It was on Tuesday the 9th 2010. Mrs Collins took us into the bush and we walked in the trees. We got the tracking tunnels. The first one had little insects on it but the other 11 had none on them. But they had a bit of prints, but it was not a lot of prints, it was a little bit.
