Over the last few weeks we have been working hard on creating a butterfly garden.
We have researched, planted seeds, plants and watered our garden. We have planted 8 purple flowers as an experiment to see if the purple attracts the butterflies, a buddleia (butterfly bush) and 2 Swan Plants for the butterflies to lay their eggs.
We have already had some butterfly visitors and are excited to have some caterpillars soon!

Welcome to 2011!
This year we are 29 students excited to be in room 8. Our teacher is Miss Smith and our classroom is Disney themed!!

This term we had some special visitors. Zara and her Mum bought in some of her baby goats. We learnt that baby goats are called kids, just like us! The kids were only 2 and 4 days old! They were very thirsty we were able to feed them milk through a bottle. Zara and her Mum taught us how to tip the bottle so the milk went down to the teat. The brown goat was a girl and the white goat was a boy. Zara and her Mum said that we could name them! So that afternoon we did a class brainstorm. In the end we voted and the boys name is DRAKE and the girls name is CHOCOLATE!
