On Saturday the 4th of September at 4:35 am there was an earthquake. There are two plates that make an earthquake. The plates try to get past each other and then they might hit each other. Then the ground shakes.
If you don’t know what to do in an earthquake get under a table and hold onto a leg so you don’t die because if things fall down then it will fall on the table.
The university students were helping the people that have mini volcanoes in their yard. It is mud and sand. They put it out on the road for the council truck to collect.

Once upon a time there was a butterfly. He was flying around the town of Te Awamutu. He sees some rain clouds. He tries to get back to his home but the rain comes down and his wings get all wet. He is very scared that he will die. But along comes someone and they pick the butterfly up and she takes it to her butterfly collection. She has a butterfly sanctuary where she looks after live butterflies.

I went in Douwe’s car. When we got to the gate Mrs Collins told us some rules about Maungatautari. There is a mesh fence. On top of the mesh there is a slippery pipe thing and an electric wire. Then there is a door.
The fantail can hear us walking through the bush. The bugs start to jump then the fantails come down and eat them.
Once we got off the track we went up and down and under trees. It was cool. Mrs Collins picked me to be the leader. It was cool being the leader. We were walking through a bush. We make too much noise so the bees stung some people.
