Science Fair

Thursday was the science fair. I went and learned the following 4 random facts:
1. Crocodiles have 75 teeth
2. Corn isn’t a fruit, it’s a grass
3. A adult male orca whale’s dorsal fin can be 6 feet tall
4. Goats have rectangular pupils
All the science fair experiments were really cool. I think the thing about crocodiles (where I learned that crocodiles have 75 teeth) was really interesting. I also liked the one about goats. I seem to be drawn to the experiments about animals.

Riley, my dog, (see 5 random facts about Riley) has a birthday coming up. He is going to be one. I got him a toy . It's a lamb that squeaks. hopefully he won't dismantle it in three seconds, which has been the fate of previous toys, minus the three second part, it takes him longer than that .

I have never had a reading goal before, and my first ever goal is to try to read 3 or 4 books this month. I’m going to keep track of how many books I’ve read by making a chart in my journal.

1. He will be 1 on February 24th
2. He’s a Australian Sheppard
3. On the day we got him I had to do the Writing WASL
4. We got him on the same day my older sister got her cello.
5. On the first day we got him he fell asleep in my lap

Actually, it’s Trial By Jury, but jury is crossed out and journal is written in. This book is about a kid that gets called for jury duty, and keeps a journal in the time that she is in court. I think the genre is sort of Realistic Fiction/mystery.
