Rainbow jelly

Today at math's we have been given a jelly challenge. We have to make a rainbow striped jelly. Rainbow striped jelly is jelly in a cup with five different colored stripes.
First we had to measure how much jelly we could fit in the cup by using water we got 250mL while others got 285mL which was wrong. Then we had to figure out how much water we could fit into each stripe we got 50mL same with all the other people doing the experiment.
After that we had to figure out how many jelly crystals we would need. Me and Nea first came up with 8.5 but then we noticed that that was wrong then we tested out one and a half tbsp on our experiment cup and that worked the best so now we do that amount.
Now we are on our fourth colour on our experiment cup and we have
another cup which is, well, our best cup the stripes look like stripes unlike the other one but the other one is far more interesting and creative though. Some of the colours that we added sunk and some of the colours rose some colours blended a little bit but I like both of the jelly's. Our next colour in our experiment cup is going to be purple while on our good cup it will also be purple. We made two so everybody in the class can have some jelly.
A thing I have learnt is that in jelly there is a substance called gelotine in jelly which helps the jelly set. And while it may sound easy it is surly isn't!

Mayor Number 7 and 9
Hi guys as you know I have landed up on Planet Numbers and I have written a description about the two great mayors. Mayor number 7 is a humors, creative, responsible, co-operative mayor. He comes up with great plans which are creative. He also discovered and studied the number Ee-ii-gg-hh-tt sheep. Mayor number 7 is also in the shape of a seven. He is in the colour what they call ‘Creative Orange’ while mayor number 9 in the ‘High Achievers Blue.’ Also mayor number 7 invented the game 'Unstoppable Baseball' it is just like base ball but the batter runs in a figure eight, and you are allowed to do anything except contact to get the ball away or to the base. Your are also allowed to use any equipment except exploding things that will damage the ball. The longest game ever was four days and the most balls lost in one game was 95.
Mayor number 9 is a humors, honest, cooperative person who doesn't lie. As you know that her colour is the ‘High Achievers Blue’ her highest achievement was the magic crater bus. You hop into a normal yellow bus then buckle your seat belt because it WILL be a bumpy ride. It will transformates into a space bus and fly to the passing asteroids and drops and picks people at the asteroids and they will visit other planets like Goblin Village or planet 521 even better Planet Numbers.
Together they are unstoppable.

Our Test Of Responsobility

At school we are getting tested for our responsibility and how parents have to take their babies everywhere. So our teacher has given us eggs for a week (they are hard boiled). At the end of the week they have to come back if they are not rotten. If they are rotten they are counted as dead. If the egg is not rotting and if the egg is not cracked apparently there is a reward. But I'm not sure if it is a rumor or not.
Right now I only know four people whose eggs are not cracked five counting me. So at the end of the week if you get a ten out of ten you are a very, very responsoble person well for a kid. You can get a ten out of ten by finding a baby sitter you trust, not cracking your egg, taking your egg every where with you and making it live in a nice home. I will send you another blog later on in the week.

ANZAC day is the 25th of april and it is a very important beacause on the 25th of april 1915 the ANZAC ships landed at Gallipoli and that was the start of a war that lasted for four years!!! Im not saying its a good thing but a brilliant poem with loads of emoitions got written it is called In Flanders Fields.
In Flanders Fields
In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.

The Galaxy In a Cave

As we entered the cold dark gloomy cave, our tour guide stopped us so she could tell us about the stalagmites and the stalactites and how they are formed. She also told us about the rock that had already fallen off the roof and the rock that was going to fall next. A couple of others and I were standing right underneath it.
Next she stopped us at a GIANT hole in the ground . She said it was round about 45 meters deep and she said it also went down to the Waitomo River, which we will be seeing up close soon.
The deeper we went in the cave, the darker it got. She soon stopped us at what she called the “Art Room.” She called it the art room because of all the funny formations. There was one formation called the family because the stalagmites were in the shape of a family. There was a Mum, a big brother, a baby sister and the family pet dog. Also in the art room there was a face of a person but I forgot his name so I can’t tell you about him. There was also a funny formation called the dreadlocks because they look like dreadlocks..

Soon we reached the Waitomo River, and we all hopped into a cold steel metal boat and headed off into the cave. It was such a breath taking sight, it looked like a galaxy of tiny blush green lights. As we were all silent we could hear the drops of water slip off the stalactites and fall in to the river. We also heard it echoing through out the cave. Then we went around a corner and a stream of light shone through the exit and reflected off the water and onto our steel metal boat. As we hopped out of the boat the sight of the Glow Worms had got burned into our heads as a brilliant memory.
We all loved it.

Yesterday a special event happend the champs come out of their normal everyday routine and they SHINED!!!
It was the swimming sports. Briony won ten year old girls 50meters Breast stroke (she was like a motor!) Why did I do briony of all people when there was back stroke and freestyle because REDS THE BEST FORGET THE REST(even though we lost and yellow won).
I got 3rd on freestyle (25m) third on back stroke (25m) and first on breast stroke(25m) so I got First or third in all of my races. I did NOT think I would come 1st 2nd or 3rd on any of them. I wonder if I would go to inter- schools probably not but I'll wait and see.................to be continued ( I used aqua and purple because they are watery colours)

WHAT NOW was AWSOME! I will tell you how the day went in a recount................
One chilly Thursday morning all the kids at Leamington Primary School Senior Block were worried nervous and excited, all at the same time. Why? because WHAT NOW was in town.
We had cow bells, pots and pans, horns ETC ETC!!. My Mum and I made the most AWESOME banner ever. People were asking about it all day!
RING RING RING RING RING the school bell went we all raced back to class. I put my banner in the cloak bay and went to my desk. Whaea Margret did the roll and then told us to line up with our bags and we did because we knew what we were doing. We went to the middle block court yard and sat down Mister Malcom had a long boring speech about how we were going to do great (but we still listened). Then all the people that weren't going lined up and went to Room four. We all lined up in one long line. My friends and I held up the banner so all the cars could see it .
We finally got to Leamington Domain. We put our bag under our school tent and waited then the filming happened. After a long day full of fun with Tu doing flips and showing off , Tu rolling in a zorb ball , Fill your pants, Blasta ball , A noise contest ( 144 decibles), and so on . We finally went back to school exhausted.
Then a little while later the Family Picnic came along when the senior school swim was on Corey (who was also in the pool) said Kennedy was going to the South Island she was in the pool as well I congratulated her and then we played Marco Polo. After the Family Picnic we went home.
That was an awsome day with the WHAT NOW crew and Tu , the Family Picnic was also fun.

Better start training if you want to get flown over to the south island and participate in SLAM! I know I want to. My brothers and I have been sent on a quest to make a GIANT banner. It will be the best banner ever I just know it ! I will send you another article later on in the week after SLAM! [I used purple and white because they are What Nows colours] to be continued......................
