July 2010 Solar Eclipse
Hey everybody! I hope everyone is enjoying their summers.................then again, I'm probably the only one still here on this blog of ours XD
Anyways, I just wanted to mention the total solar eclipse that is occurring today! In case anyone out there doesn't know what that is, a solar eclipse is when the Moon passes in front of the Sun, blocking it and causing the sky to become dark in the daytime. To anyone who might actually be there on Easter Island (where you can see the eclipse), remember- NEVER EVER watch the eclipse without special glasses! Even though the Sun's disc will be entirely blocked by the Moon this time around, the corona (the Sun's hazy upper atmosphere) will still be visible, and this can hurt your eyes.
Wish I was there! :D
