This is a picture with the star Polaris in the center. It is better known to most as the North Star, because it is located directly above Earth's axis in the North Pole. Because it does not appear to move in the night sky. by using a special instrument, if you use it to find how high the angle Polaris is in the sky, you can dicover your lattitude.
