Listen up; Life science can be an interesting thing if you let it be. Try to really think about what ur learning, Your alive right? (I hope, if not then just stop reading now.) So wouldn’t you like to know how? Its like a huge puzzle and everything you learn connects with something else, like cells, they make up tissues, (no not puffs, or any other blow-ur-nose tissue) and tissues make up organs which make you. So go ahead make it interesting for you, no one said you couldn’t wonder? (Although if you don’t want to, just draw, its easier. Science this year boosted my creativity.)(A lot) O! And make sure to bring your Agenda!

What I liked

Article posted June 8, 2006 at 04:29 PM GMT0 • comment • Reads 496

This year was pretty good for me in science, I learned a lot and im really interested in life science, (o yeah, physics and that stuff next year will be a bummer) seeing how life...lives. Mrs. Wilmsen was also a great teacher to have for this section, really fun. (Yeah I liked those review games) I learned how cells work, most of their organelles, why they are needed, and what they do. (A lot) I learned about body systems, such as the nervous system the digestive system and the endocrine system ect. Of course my grades weren’t the best but that’s mostly because of Homework (which we didn’t get to much of) (thanks) (a lot) (yeah). But I understood everything well and that’s what counts (I think).

SSL Reflection

Article posted June 7, 2006 at 04:21 PM GMT0 • comment • Reads 233

Time to reflect, so grab a mirror and listen up! A few weeks ago I helped build a rain garden,I planted a big purple daisy a few marigolds, and dug up and replanted some iris'. Cool. At least thats what I thought, see, The bay is steeling all our good top soil due to surface run-of and along with it, the bays taking mulch and manuer making it hard for fish to survive under there, these gardens helped to reduce runoff so I felt like i was bieng helpfull..for once. (you can put the mirror down)

Once on a planet far, far away...

Article posted April 21, 2006 at 05:16 PM GMT0 • comment • Reads 237

Ok, so 200 trillion miles away there’s a planet and there are weird other animals some that hover some that float and some that roll all over on little wheels, do they change over time, did they change over time, maybe they got there the way they were maybe not, but most likely it changed the way it was, It can depend on the landscape if there are slimey rives and tin mountains and bubble clouds then they would have to be able to manuevre through them thet would need to adapt and this can lead to changes in the life forms. :o)

Becoming a female frog...

Article posted April 21, 2006 at 05:09 PM GMT0 • comment • Reads 229

If suddenly a female frog stopped hearing male calls she would never find a mate and so she wouldn’t be able to continue her species. And some poor male would never find his Miss. Sticky. If this one frog lost its attraction to the male call then she would die and not be able to reproduce more like her, this is an example of natural selection. It would be pointless for her to have babies that could never find a mate. And it would truly be a sad life. Now that could have been a good thing if the male happened to be standing in front of a fox or some other frog eating beast then she would have went as well, but there’s a slim chance that that was what would have happened and then suppose the male frog really wasnt a frog and was really a...ill stop now. Thanks for reading.

Canable trees

Article posted April 7, 2006 at 05:01 PM GMT0 • comment • Reads 231

When trees loose their leaves in the winter the leaves fall to the ground. There, small organisms break them down and turn them back into good soil which the roots take in to feed the tree! So the leaves fall then the roots take them back in to make new leaves it’s a cycle that never ends till the tree dies. Kinda strange if you think about it, the trees eat themselves..canables..

Genetic Enginered foods

Article posted March 30, 2006 at 05:03 PM GMT0 • comment (1) • Reads 235

I think that the use of genetically enginered foods is a masterplan. So far Scientists have found nothing wrong with it! And once established it can help many by use of medicine and making them cheaper! Taking these foods from shelves in supermarkets is not what we should do. I think that being more open to new ideas would help us boost our economy and help others! Though I can see that this could be a problem due to the fact that its been somehow changed and the super weed thing but other then that I like the idea.

Blogging :)

Article posted March 28, 2006 at 05:06 PM GMT0 • comment • Reads 204

Blogging might help me by allowing me to publish my thoughts online and also to see other peoples work. This can also help me write better in science. I also prefer typing my information instead of writing it down on paper. I can also type faster. So this should be more fun! =D
