Humbug The Humbug is the best character in The Phantom Tollbooth. He can never make up his mind and is always into some type of trouble. When they went to King Azaz’s castle and ate dinner, Milo was asking if the journey to save Rhyme and Reason was hard. Milo said that it wasn’t, and the king said it was. The Humbug agreed with both sides.

When Milo, Tock, and the Humbug were driving past Conclusions, the Humbug was the first “creature” to jump to Conclusions. When they were in Conclusions, it didn’t look as nice and pretty as it from the outside. The Humbug has had a lot of adventures throughout the book with all of his new friends.

The Humbug was always funny, and a “great sport”, so he definitely my favorite character of the year.
