AT -- My Interview With King Tutankhamen

Article posted December 19, 2011 at 02:19 PM GMT-5 • comment • Reads 2456

AT: Hello Mr.Tutankhamen, it is an honor to have you hear with me today. You are the most well known pharaoh ever. Almost everyone knows who you are. Would you mind answering some questions for me?

KT: I would gladly like to answer your questions.

AT: How old were you when you became pharaoh? How many names do you have?

KT: I was 9 years old when I started ruling as pharaoh. I ruled for about 9 years. I died when I was 18 years old. I have 5 names. My birth name is Tutankhaten, but it was changed to Tutankhamun. In my role as Horus my name is Heru. My name under protection is Nebty. My Golden Horus name is Heru Nebu. And my throne name is Nesu Bity.

AT: What did your tomb look like? Where was your tomb buried? Why did the Egyptians try to hide you tomb?

KT: Well, my tomb was in almost perfect condition. It was robbed right after I was put in it. It held many gold artifacts so many people probably wanted to rob it. It was buried in the Valley of the Kings. The Egyptians tried very hard to hide it so I was surprised it was found by robbers and Carter. I was not buried in a pyramid since they were robbed too much. Also, I had many golden treasures in my tomb so I would hate to see them robbed. The Egyptians tried to hide my tomb because tombs were almost always robbed. I was not put in a pyramid because they are easy to find. They just stand in the middle of the desert waiting to be robbed so my tomb was built underground where not many people could find it.

AT: Who found your tomb?

KT: My tomb was found by Howard Carter and Lord Carnarvon. They dug together for 5 years then found the steps leading to my tomb. Howard Carter found the steps while lord Carnarvon was away. Lord Carnarvon paid for the excavation.

AT: When did you first get married? How many children did you have?

KT: I was first married when I was 9 years old. I married my half-sister. Her name was Ankhesenpaaten. I had 2 children. They died at birth. They were buried with me even though they were dead.

AT: Why did your father change religions?

KT: He just had a different idea of the Egyptian religion. He changed it from worshiping many gods to worshiping one god. Many people got angry that he changed so I had to try my best as pharaoh to change it back.

AT: What is the "Curse of King Tut"?

KT: The Curse of King Tut is that whoever finds my tomb will die. It really isn’t true even though Lord Carnarvon died 6 months later. He just opened up a mosquito bite and that spread infection throughout his body.

AT: Thank you Mr. Tutankhamen for sharing about your life. You were famous as a pharaoh back then and right now. If anyone had to name one pharaoh, chances are they would say you.

GF -- Interview With Tutankhamen

Article posted December 19, 2011 at 02:04 PM GMT-5 • comment • Reads 474

The following is a transcript of the interview of King Tutankhamen and GF.

GF: Well King Tutankhamen make your self comfortable. May I please ask you a couple of questions

King tut: Thank  you I have Such a kink in the neck after a couple thousand years. Of course. You may ask away.

GF: I have heard you had a slightly clubbed foot and you needed a cane to walk. Can you clear up any misinformation about your health?

King Tut:  My foot was slightly clubbed.  My health was not perfect. The fact that my parents were siblings may hve contributed to this.

GF:  Is the curse you suposedly  put on the tomb real or fake?

King Tut: There is no curse! Lord Canarvon the person who funded the exploration  had gotten amosquitto bite the day before he entered and he worsened it as he shaved the next morning. My tomb had fungi spores on the wall and they burst when he entered the tomb. Also just because when Howard Carter  died and his dog howled then dropped dead was just a coincedence.

GF: How come you changed your name from Tutankhaten to Tutankhamen? Why did you change worship back to Amen after your father changed it back to Aten?

King Tut: You could find the answer to that first question in the second question. I changed woship back because it is what the people wanted.I was very well liked by the people.

GF: Who/what was it that killed you? There is much controversy about your death. What do you believe the real cause was?

King Tut: I got very sick before I died. Scientists told me I had traces of http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2010/02/100216-king-tut-malaria-bones-inbred-tutankhamun/">melaria in my system as soon as I came back to life for today . I believe it was the melaria that killed me since medical treatment was nothing like it is now.

GF:  How many years was your reign before you died? What can you tell us about egyptian life back then?

King Tut:  My reign was very short ,only ten years from ages http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2010/02/100216-king-tut-malaria-bones-inbred-tutankhamun/">9 to 19. Egyption life was the life for me! It had a great econemy.

GF: How long was your sleep before you were "discovered" in 1923. How many times was your tomb robbed after your burial.

King Tut: My sleep was three thousand years long. My tomb was robbed only twice. I am proud of that since many pharaohs tombs are robed many more times.

GF: Well thank you for being here: It was a great honor for me to have you here. Thank you for coming.

King Tut: Your welcome. It was nice for me too. Your furniture was very soft. I will need to get some for my tomb.

ME -- My Interview With King Tut

Article posted December 6, 2011 at 10:45 AM GMT-5 • comment • Reads 453

ME:  King Tut, it is an honor to speak with you today.  Thank you for being here.  May I ask you some questions about your life?

KT:  It's an honor to be here.  Glad I could come.  Of course you can ask me questions about my life.

ME: King Tut, when and where were you born?  Who were your parents?

KT: I was born in 1343 BC.  I was born in Amarna, the capital of Egypt at the time.  My father was Pharaoh Akhenaten and my mother was his wife Nefertiti.

ME: What was found in your tomb?  Where was your tomb found?  When was your tomb found?

KT: I was very rich, considering that I was Pharoah.  There were many things found in my tomb, such as a throne, statues, and bracelets.  My tomb was found in theValley of Kings, the traditional buriel place for kings.  My tomb was discovered in 1922.

ME: How old were you when you died and how did you die?

KT: I believe that I was 19 years old when I died.  Some historians think that I died because of abroken leg caused by maleria.  Others think that I died because of a head injury.

ME: Did you ever get married?  If so, who did you get married to?How old were you and your wife when you got married?

KT: Why yes, I did get married.  I was married to my half-sisterAnkhesenamon. I was nine and my wife was thirteen when we got married.  We tried to have children but sadly their was a miscarriage and we had a stillborn baby girl.

ME:  What is the Curse of King Tut?  Is it true?

KT:    The curse of King Tut says that death shall come to whoever disturbs the peathe pharaoh.  It was inscribed on the outside of my tomb.  The curse is belived to be true becauseLord Carnavon, the man who paid for the expedition, died shortly after my tomb was discovered.  There is no proof that this curse is true.

ME: How old were you when you became pharaoh?

KT:I was 9 years old when I becamepharaoh.  The reason was that my father died.  Also because I was his oldest son.

ME: Thank you for being with us today.  I learned a lot about your life.

KT: You're welcome.  It was my pleasure.

DL -- Interview With King Tutankhamun

Article posted December 19, 2011 at 02:48 PM GMT-5 • comment • Reads 469

DL: It is my honor to have you with us today King Tut. If you don't mind I will like to get to know your life a little bit better so when can know more knowledge about you. I hope we can get more information on you and your life.

KT: I would love to answer your questions and I will try to give you my whole life based on your questions.

DL: There is many talk about you and your tomb having a curse. For example after hearing that Howard Carter found your tomb Lord Carnovaron the one who paid for that project died. Give me your opinion on this so called curse?

KT: Well for starters I was dead already and I also did not set a curse before I died so I do not believe in this. Also why would I kill someone who found my tomb. It looks as if all pharaoh tombs are found by someone. My opinion is that there is no curse and this is not true.

DL: There are mant different theories on how you died give the most reasonable one and why?

KT: Again since I was already dead I do not know. Although my best theory is the one with the chariot falling on me. Honestly this was just a wild pick because there are so many theories. I chose this one because it fits best I think. Since it was so sudden and probally if I was looking down I would probally not see it coming down on me.

DL: Explain why Egyptians thought a physical body was essential for the after life? Explain what they did with your body parts during the http://www.king-tut.org.uk/index.htm + ">process of mummification?

KT: Those are very good questions. First off we believed that life and death were stages of progress to a good life in the next world. We believed that mummification, the way of preserving the body after death, was neccesary to keep the soul alive. In the process of mummification the brain and the internal organs, except the heart, were put in canopic jars which were put with the mummy in the tomb. We believed that a physical body was essential for the after life because for the deceased and that without a physical body the soul had no place to dwell and became restless forever. The tomb, the process of mummification, rituals and magic spells promoted the well- being, and ensured the preservation, of the dead and the elements of the soul called the Ka, Ba and Ahk. Also during the process the mummy is placed in a sarcophagus. It is a long process and sometimes for people of this age confusing but, it was our way making sure we made it to a good question.

DL: In your opinion explain how http://www2.fi.edu/tut/religion.html">religion was important to Egypt?

KT: Well in Egypt religion was more than a belief system it was a way of life. In Egypt it was a part of every day life. The fundamental governing this system was maat. It was an abstract concept often translated as truth or justiceand it was represented by the goddess maat. Basically it represented how the world was suppose to be.                                                                                                                                                                                                                 DL: Can you give me three different spellings of your name and what they mean?                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         KT: Well for first three names are Ka, Ba, and Ahk. They all come out to spell http://www2.fi.edu/tut/religion.html">my name Tutankhamun. By the way a winged scarab beetle comes out to spell those names. Also in my tomb I believe that they were on a wall so that is probaly how you found it.

DL: Well it has been a honor talking to you King Tutankhamun and I hope you will a have a happy after life. Also thanks for talking with us because now we have more information about you.                                                                                                                                                                                                                             KT: Well it was my honor and thank you.

SE -- My Interview with King Tut

Article posted December 19, 2011 at 02:46 PM GMT-5 • comment • Reads 437

SE- It is an honor to get to know you, King Tut.  Everybody here, including myself would love to know your story.  As long as you don't mind I would love start asking you questions about your life, death, and how you became so famous.

Tut- I would love to answer your questions.

SE- Great! Well let's get started.  Who did you marry? How many children do you have? What happened to them?

Tut- I married my half-sister.  Her name is Ankhesanamun.  I have two children.  My children were stillborn when my wife had them.  When I died my children were buried with me for when I would go to the Afterlife.

SE- Why did you change your name?

Tut- I changed my name because of religious beliefs in my country.  I changed my birth name,Tutankhaten, to Tutankhamun.  Aten, the last four letters of my old name means "the living image of Aten".  Amun the last four letters of my current name means "the living image of Amun".

SE- Do you have any illnesses?

Tut- Yes, I have malaria and a bone disorder.  I also have necrosis, or death, of bone tissue in my left foot.  This caused me to walk with a cane.  The necrosis is not life threatening to me, though.

SE- Why did you change the religious beliefs in your country?

Tut- I changed the religious beliefs in my country to maintain order of the universe, or maat.  Before my father, Akhenaten, took the throne all spirits and deities were ruled.  When my father took the throne he changed the religious beliefs so everyone only worshipped one god: Aten.  When my father died I took the throne.  During my rule I tried to reestablish the belief in all the gods and goddesses my father had neglected worship against.  Along with those gods and goddesses I also tried to restore the worship of Amun.  I rebuilt their temples and replaced their treasuries to honor them.

SE- What made you such a well-known pharaoh? What was found in your tomb?

Tut- I became famous becuase my tomb was untouched for thousands of years.  I was a minor pharaoh but my tomb's discovery made me famous worldwide.  When my tomb was found many people were amazed by the riches in it.  About 3500 articles were found in my tomb.

SE- Who was your tomb discovered by? When was it discovered? Where were you buried?

Tut- My tomb was discovered by two men.  Their names were Howard Carter and Lord Carnarvon.  My tomb was discovered in 1922.  I was buried in the Valley of the Kings.

SE- Thank you, King Tut, I sure learned a lot about you! That was very eduactional and we all enjoyed your time with us!

Tut- It truely was an honor to be here.  I am glad that I was able to teach everyone some more about myself.

OB -- Who is King Tut?

Article posted December 14, 2011 at 01:55 PM GMT-5 • comment • Reads 439

OB: King Tut came back from the dead and is going to answer a few of my questions. He is well known and if someone had to name a pharaoh they probably would say King Tut. So let's get started.

KT: Ask away. I am pleased to be here. It's very tight in my coffin.

OB: How old were you when you became pharaoh and how long did you rule?

KT: I started ruling at age 7.  The total years I ruled were only 12 years because I died at the young age of 19.  Even though I was pharaoh for a short time, I am more famous than other pharaoh's who ruled much longer.

OB: How big was your family?

KT: Including me, there were five of us.  My mom's name was Kiya and my dad was named Akhenaten. I also had two brothers who were my only friends because being a pharaoh I could not have any others.

OB: Why are you so famous?

KT: I am famous because of all the treasure that was discovered in my tomb. Once my tomb was robbed right after I died, but the stolen items were replaced.  My tomb was in excellent condition when it was found over 3000 years after I died!

OB: When did you die? Why are people saying you were murdered?

KT: I died in mid-January, 1343 B.C. I think I was murdered because someone smashed my head in and it hurt alot.  Since I was a pharoah, not alot of people got too close to  me except important people so I think I knew my murderer.

OB: You said your tomb went undiscovered for over 3,000 years.  Who finally found it and how?

KT: My tomb was found by Howard Carter and Lord Carnarvon in 1922. Lord Carnarvon was rich and so he bought the right to dig in the Valley of the Kings. They worked really hard looking for my tomb for five years.  They were getting really depressed and almost ready to give up when they finally found the stairs to led to my tomb's entrance.

OB: Some people died after being in your tomb.  Did you put a curse on anyone who entered it?

KT: No, I did not put a curse on people who entered my tomb.  The cause of their death has a scientific explanation.  Before my tomb was sealed, food was placed in it.  The bacteria in my tomb when it was sealed fed on the food and let a toxic gas in my tomb. When the workers entered my tomb, this got in their in their lungs and killed them.

OB: Thank you for coming and answering these questions. I really appreciated it. I learned a lot about your life.

NM -- An Interview With King Tut

Article posted November 22, 2011 at 10:32 AM GMT-5 • comment • Reads 532

NM: King Tut, it is an honor to speak with you today. When most people think of Egypt, you're the first thing they think of. They might not know much about you, but I am here to find out more about you. May I ask you some questions?

KT: I would love to share about my life.

NM: What were you like as a pharaoh and when were you pharaoh?

KT: I was pharaoh about 3300 years ago. I took the throne at about the age of nine. Then I died at the early age of nineteen. When I was pharaoh I was a frail young boy. I also needed a cane to walk. Since I wasn't strong I didn't ride in the chariots at war.

NM: What rooms were in your tomb and what did they contain?

KT: In my tomb I had five rooms. They held what I needed for my afterlife. The Entrance had limestone steps that led to a plaster wall with my royal stamp on it. The smaller room is the Annex. It held everyday items I used from pots to games. The Antechamber is the first room you see when you enter. It was filled with many treasures including carved chairs and my golden throne. The Burial Chamber was sealed behind a plaster door. It held my body with my golden death mask. On the walls are pictures of me making my way to the after life. The Treasury held my most prized possessions. It contained statues and organs.

NM: What were women allowed to do in you're lifetime?

KT: In my lifetime women could own property . They could also represent themselves in the court of law. Women who were high-status were mistresses in their household. They were also musicians for the gods.

NM: Who discovered your tomb and how did they find it? What did they find when they first entered your tomb?

KT: Howard Carter and Lord Carnarvon discovered my tomb. They searched for five years for my tomb. Lord Carnarvon was paying for this but was losing hope. Carter offered to pay the workers and after four days they found the steps leading to my tomb. It took two weeks for Carnarvon to get to the scene from England. When he arrived they began further excavation. The first room was a fake with a hidden door. Then they found my real tomb rooms.

NM: What did Egyptians believe happened when a person died?

KT: Egyptians believed that when a person died the two parts of an Egyptian's identity, ba and ka, separated from the body. Only when the person was properly mummified and well-executed funeral was when the ba and ka be reunited. This allowed the person to become an akh. An akh is an effective and blessed spirit that could live in peace for eternity.

NM: What do you think about "The Curse of King Tutankhamun?"

KT: People think there was a curse, because Lord Carnarvon had been is a car accident many years before and never recovered fully. About a month after entering the tomb, he cut open a mosquito bite and got an infection. Soon he had blood poisoning and pneumonia. Then he died after a few weeks. One reporter mistranslated some text in front of the Anubis shrine. He said it read, "I will kill all of those who cross this threshold into the sacred precincts of the royal king that lives forever." What it really read was, "I am the one who prevents the sand from blocking the secret chamber. Soon the word of the curse spread everywhere. It might have just been a coincidence that Carnarvon died.

NM: Thank you for spending time to answer some questions today. I learned a lot today about you, and it was very nice meeting you.

MS -- An Interview with the Pharaoh Tutankhamun

Article posted December 19, 2011 at 02:46 PM GMT-5 • comment • Reads 492

MS: Tutankhamun or the more common name for you, King Tut, thank you for coming here to speak with me today. Even though you're one of the most widely known pharaoh, many people don't know much about your life. I would like to ask you some questions.

KT: I would be delighted to answer the questions you have for me.

MS: Many people know you as King Tut or Tutankhamun but those certainly weren't your birth name, so my first question is what is your birth name and what did it mean?

KT: It is true that neither King Tut nor Tutankhamun were my birth name. My birth name was actually Tutankhamen, which meant Living Image of Aten. Aten was one of the many gods we had in ancient Egypt. I was given this name by my father, Akhenaten, and my mother, Nefertiti.

MS: When and why did you become pharaoh and how long was your reign?

KT: I became pharaoh soon after my father died. I was only a nine year old boy when I became pharaoh of the Egyptian empire. I ruled for a short ten years before my untimely death.

MS: What did your father do in his time as pharaoh and why did you change the religion he made back to the normal religion?

KT: As pharaoh my father changed the religion that we had been doing for hundreds of years by changing the religion from many gods and goddesses to one god. This angered many people and priests, therefore when I became pharaoh I was left with an angry Egypt to rule. A few years after this happened I changed his religion back to the old religion to keep citizens calm.

MS: At what age and when did you die?

KT: I was still a young boy when I died. I was nineteen years old when i left Egypt. I was the pharaoh of Egypt before I died in mid-Janurary 1343 B.C.

MS: People say that you put a curse on your tomb. Is that true?

KT: Well when my tomb was discovered the man that discovered it ,Lord Carnarvon, was bitten on the cheek by a mosquito. He would irritate the bite and it soon became infected. He became very ill, and died from the bite and at that exact moment all the lights in Cario (Egypt's capital city) went out and his dog howled and died too. But most of the problems were probably caused by the bacteria on the wall gave off spores and when breathed in could make the person ill which contributed to his death.

MS: My final question for you is how did you get the crack in your skull?

KT: People say that someone murdered me and that is how I got it but the crack probably was in the mummification process. The priests who mummified me probably dropped my body head-first on the ground. That is how i got the crack in my skull it wasn't murder but a mistake.

MS: Thank you King Tut for taking time to speaking with us today. I hope that everyone has learned more about you.

AP -- My Interview with King Tut

Article posted December 19, 2011 at 01:50 PM GMT-5 • comment • Reads 475

AP-Hello King Tut, I would like to interview you today. I have a few questions about your life. Thank you for your time. What year did you die, and how did you die? How old were you when you died?

Tut-I died in January, in the year of 1343 B.C. People are not sure how I died, but there are many rumors of my death. It was thought that I was murdered by an official because my skull was bashed in, and only a person of great importance could get near enough to harm me. I died at the age of nineteen.

AP-Were you diagnosed with any disorders? What was one of your first actions as pharaoh?

Tut-I had malaria. That is a bone disorder. People say I might have had other bone disorders. One of my first actions as pharaoh was to move away from the Armarna religion.

AP-When were you a pharaoh? At what age did you ascend to the throne?

Tut-I was a pharaoh about 3,300 years ago. I became pharaoh at about nine years of age. I was a New Kingdom pharaoh buried in the Valley of Kings.

How did you become one of the most famous pharaohs?

Tut-Well, Howard Carter found my tomb, and all my treasures were still in it. I’m famous by my early death. Also, my tomb wasn’t robbed, like many others. My mummy was found in a solid gold coffin, with two outer coffins and a sarcophagus made of stones and four shrines of wood surrounding it. Other items from among the 2,000 treasures included alabaster vases, chests of jewelry, gilded beds and chariots, a royal throne decorated with semiprecious stones and silver, statues, religious articles, and weapons.

When you were mummified, did you go through any special processes?

Tut-When being mummified, my body had to be preserved through an elaborate embalming process, which took at least seventy days. I'm not the only one they have done this to. There are many pharaohs who have had this process.

AP- Thank you, King Tut, for spending time with me to share some of your life.

KC -- My Questions on King Tut

Article posted December 19, 2011 at 02:48 PM GMT-5 • comment • Reads 490

King Tut is one of the world's most famous pharaohs, but a lot of people don't know why. So I did an interview on him, and this is what he said:

1. What was your Father's name? What was your mother's name?
My father's name was Akhenaten, first known as Amenhotep. My mother's name was Kiya.

2. Why are you so famous? When was your tomb robbed? I am so famous because my tomb was in almost perfect condition. My tomb had been robbed once very soon after I was put in, but everything lost was replaced as soon as possible.

3. When did you become pharaoh? What number pharaoh were you to inherit the throne at a young age? I became pharaoh during ancient Egypt's New Kingdom era, about 3,300 years ago. When I inherited the throne I was the 18th dynasty pharaoh.

4. Why are you the best known pharaoh? I am the best known pharaoh because of the wealth of treasures-including a solid gold death mask-found in my surprise discovery of my intact tomb in 1922.

5. Where is your tomb located? My tomb is located in Valley of the Kings.

6.
What was your first action as pharaoh? Why did you move away from the Armarna religion? My first action as pharaoh was to move away from the Armarna religion because my father's belief in one god, the Aten, had proved to be quite unpopular with the people.

Thank you for listening to my interview on King Tut.

RP -- My Interview with King Tut

Article posted December 19, 2011 at 02:26 PM GMT-5 • comment • Reads 447

Hi, I'm RP, here with King Tut. Mr. Tut it is an honor to have you here.  Would you mind If I ask you a few questions?

King Tut: Not at all Mr. P. I will always share my life story to the world to hear. Shall we get started?

Ryan: Yes. We should get started.

1. Ryan: Mr. Tut, why are you so famous?

Tut: Well, I am so famous because of all my treasures in my tomb. Also because my tomb was basically untouched. Because of all the gold though, my tomb got robbed quite often. All my people tried to get my stuff back as soon as possible. They did eventually get all of it back.

2. R: What gods or goddesses did you believe in?

T: For my religion, I believed in the sole god, Aten. When I was born, my parents named me after him. My birthname was Tutankhaton, which meant " the Living Image of Aten". My name now is Tutankhamun because I abandoned my father's beliefs in Aten.

3. R: Did you have any conditions, like mental or physical conditions? Were you tall or short?

T: Yes I did, I had a "slightly cleft palate" in my head. I also may have had a small case of scoliosis, which means your spine curves from side to side.  That's a medical disease. I was about 5 ft. 11 in. tall. Whatever you consider that to be.

4. R: Who first discovered your tomb? Were there many rooms or just one room in it? When your tomb got robbed, did you get your stuff back?

T: The first people to discover my tomb were the people of the names of Howard Carter and Lord Canarvon. In my tomb, there were about 4 or 5 rooms. The first room was a fake room that had a hidden door that led to the rest of my tomb.

5. R: Most people say that your mummy had a "curse". Do you believe in that?

T: Well, it is kind of weird that Lord Canarvon shortly died after opening my sarcophagus. He didn't die right when he opened it. People says that he had a mosquito bite on his neck and that's how he died. It's a belief. People are saying that whoever opened my sarcophagus would face the "Wrath of the Mummy".

6: R:  Why did people say that mummies had healing powers. Who believed in that?

T: The '' healing powers'' of the mummies was this magical powder that the mummies had. It wasn't until my tomb that the media had started picking up on the healing powder. The people who believed in the healing powers were the Egyptians.

R: Thank you Mr. Tut for the talk. I hope the people all over the world know more about you now because of this interview. It was an honor to speak with such a famous person. Thank you King Tut for your time. I'll remember this day for the rest of my life because I interviewed such a famous person.

T: You're very welcome. I always love sharing my story with the world. People out on the television, I want the world to hear my story in this interview. Thank you Mr. P. for your time.

KM -- An Interview with King Tut

Article posted December 19, 2011 at 02:47 PM GMT-5 • comment • Reads 474

KM: Thank you, King Tut, for coming and answering my questions. Many Americans think you are the most famous Egyptian pharaoh who ever lived. If you are ready I would like to start asking my questions.

KT: I am happy to be here and to answer your questions.

KM: When you came into rule the people were unhappy with what your father did. What did he do?

KT: My father Akhenaten changed the religion in Egypt. His religion said there was only one god named Aten. I changed the religion back to what it used to be and changed my birth name Tutankhaton to Tutankhamun when I was in rule.

KM:Some historians believe you were a warrior. Others say you weren't one. What do you think about this?

KT: Historians think I was a warrior because I was trained as a young boy to be a warrior. Also because in my tomb there were six chariots and weapons that showed signs of use. Some people belive I wasn't phisically strong enough to be a warrior. They think this because of all the walking sticks and staffs in my tomb.

KM: Some historians think you were murder but new research shows another cause. What do think the real story is and why?

KT: Histoians belive I was murdered because I had a bash on my head and an injury in my theigh. There are also some prople who wanted the throne. They also think I was murdered by Ay because he wanted the throne or a servant did it because they were people who could get close enough to me to do it.

KM: People think there is a curse of king Tut but others say that it is not real. What do you think about the curse?

KT: People believe the curse started with Lord Carnavon started the curse. When he dicovered the tomb it was said that all the lights went out where he ruled. Later when shaving he cut a mosquito bite and got infected. He died from the infection. When people unwrapped my mummy they found a mark on me in the same spot the mosquito bit was on Lord Carnovon. Reporters started to make stories abot "The Curse of King Tut" but research showed most people died from a bacteria.

KM: What happened after your death?

KT: After my death historians aren't really sure what happened. Some think my wife Nefertiti http://www2.fi.e du/tut/pharaoh3.html "> rhttp://www2.fi.e du/tut/pharaoh3.html ">ulehttp://www2.fi.e du/tut/pharaoh3.html ">d after my death. Others think that my brother ruled.

KM: Why is your tomb so well known?

KT: My tomb is well known because it is the only one untouched by tomb robbers historians have found. I was buried with with furniture, jewelry, games, weapons, and models of food, animals, and boats. They buried these with me so I could bring them to the after life.

KM: Thank you for coming and anwering my questions.

KT: You are welcome and I enjoyed answering your questions.

EA -- My Interview With King Tut

Article posted December 19, 2011 at 02:48 PM GMT-5 • comment • Reads 579

EA: Most of you may have heard of King Tut but may not know much about him. I am going to ask Tut a couple of questions so we can get to know him a little better. Now some of the questions are about his death, his family, and his life. King Tut are you ready?

KT: Of course I'm ready.

EA: People believe your tomb is cursed why is this? A reporter mistranslated the shrine. What did he think it said? What did it actually say?

KT: People think that my tomb is cursed because
Lord Carnarvon had died six months after finding my tomb. But he actually died because he got in a car accident and did not recover very well, and while shaving opened a mosquito bite that got infected. The reporter thought it said “I will kill all of those who cross this threshold into the sacred precincts of the royal king who lives forever.” When it actually said: "I am the one who prevents the sand from blocking the secret chamber"

EA: What did you hide behind your throne? What did you place in front of your throne where your followers would see?

KT: I hid a cartouche with my birth name which was Tutankhaten, living image of Atem. This was honoring my father’s religion. I placed the name that went against my father’s religion which was Tutankhamun, living image of Amun.

EA: King Tut why do people believe that you were murdered? Who do they believed murdered you?

KT: Well, people believed I was murdered because my skull was bashed in. They didn’t know for a fact who was the killer. People believe that someone important to me could have done it.

EA: People believe you were murdered but that wasn’t what happened was it?

KT: No, I was not murdered. I died of malaria, a natural cause. I am not sure why my skull was bashed but it was not because I was murdered.

EA: When were you born? Where were you born? When did you die?

KT: I was born around the year 1341 BC. I was born in Akhetaten which is the capital city of Egypt. I died in the mid-January, 1343 BC.

EA: Who were your family?

KT: Well, my father was Akhenaten and my birth mother was a noblewoman named Kiya. My stepmother was Nefertiti and my wife was Ankhesenpaaten. My grandfather was Grand Vizier. My stepmother mysteriously disappeared.

EA: Well King Tut I appreciate you taking the time to answer my questions. Good night everybody.
