Creating an Infographic

Article posted April 5, 2013 at 12:29 PM GMT-5 • comment • Reads 27

I collected my information by surveying the 6th grade class. I should have made one of the questions a multiple answer question. To see my actual survey click here. I found it to be relativly easy to do it with a Google Form.

Constructing the survey in a Power Point was a very long and confusing process, but in the end I was very satisfied with the results. First I had to gather all the informatoin and pick the theme and the color. Then I had to make a bunch of pie charts and create pictures. Infographics are a great way to learn about something new because they have many pictures and litle words.

There was four jobs. One for each person. there was a lawyer, phisisist, historian, and design engineer. I was the design engineer. My role was to design the roller coaster and what mateirial is used. This is my  failed coaster.

This is my sucsessful coaster. It sucseeded because it had just egnough energy to make it.

We named the roller coaster Shark Attack.

During this school year our students in grades 2 through 8 completed the President’s Fitness Challenge. We took part in a variety of physical endurance tests. The sixth grade students charted the results for each event and grade. Here are the results of the sit and reach for grade3. As you can see from the chart below, 6 or 20% of the students achieved Presidential Level, 11 or 37% of the students achieved National Level, and 13or 43% of the second graders were at Participant Level.

I am so glad you could make it to my interview, King Tut

Glad to be here.

My first question.

1. How old were you when you became king?

I was nine years old when I became king.

2.How long did it take to prepare your body for burial? Can you tell us something about the prosses?

Well, it took http://cweb.vinu.edu/comp113/spring_2010/cfrick/King%20Tut/tutfacts.htm">70 days to prepare my body. The first thing my servants do is take all my important organs out of my body except my brain they thought it was useless. Second they wrap my body with papyrus(early paper/badage) and seal the door to the pyramid.

3. What was the purpose of the death mask and what was your mask made of? How heavy it?

It was made of gold. It was 22lbs. That is the most recognized thing about me.

4.What did you die of?

I died of mosquito bite on my foot which never got treated so it got infected and I got sick then died.

Constitution Post 3 - Three Principles

Article posted May 18, 2011 at 12:47 PM GMT-5 • comment • Reads 221

The first Principle is the Separation of Powers. It has the Legislative Branch which enacts the laws, the Executive Branch which see if the laws are carried out, and the Judicial Branch which interprets the laws. The second Principle is the Principle of Checks and Balances. This was made so each branch had some control over the other, but it limits the control to enshure they will work together so that no one branch can become to powerful. Finaly the third Principle is the Shared Powers. That means the Federal government or the centeral government shares power with the states.

I'm going to talk to you about three reasons why the article of Constitution did not work. First, the states had more power then the government, there were no judges, and no leader like today.

It Is Not Good For You

Article posted January 10, 2011 at 01:39 PM GMT-5 • comment • Reads 217

Smoking is not cool, it's really bad for you and trying to look cool is not everything. You could get really sick. I learned in health class that smoking can kill. If you have asthma you could have an asthma attack. All those signs that say smoking is good for you are not true. I also learned about second hand smoke. For example, the dad of a kid is a smoker and the dad is smoking a siguret and the kid is near the dad. the smoke from the siguret is in the air and the kid breathes that air with smoke and some of the smoke is in the inesent child. This in most cases makes the child when he growes up will start smoking. So remember DO NOT SMOKE.

I Can Not Believe It

Article posted October 25, 2010 at 01:36 PM GMT-5 • comment • Reads 270

I can't believe how much energy I am wasting at home. I learned these things from http://www.thinkenergy.org/. I learned how much energy we're all wasting and how resources now are limited. I also learned how many resources are very important and deadly. I learned how we get the resources and make them gasoline, propane gas, etc. etc. My family and I are using CFLs, an energy efficient shower head, an energy efficient sink faucet, and a Lime Light Night-light. I saved about $3.00 with the CFLs, and I saved about $4.00 with the energy efficient shower head, I saved about $3.00 with the energy efficient sink faucet, and I saved about $2.00 with the Lime Light Night-Light. In all that is a total of $12.00. We can all save the World or kill it but, if we all try to do something I'm sure the World will be a better place. We don't need to do something huge but something small like pick up trash on the floor with a tissue and throw it away. Pull something out of your brain and do it.
