Peter -- My job in Colonial America

If I lived in Colonial America I think I would like to be a cabinetmaker because ever since I was little,I always liked building blocks and now I like to play with Legos alot. I would build myself a really cool house and all of my furniture would be custom made by me.
I think people would hire me from all around because I would have the best house in the village. Other people would pay me alot of money to help them. I would be very rich!

I would be a Printer.I would be a printer because I would like the fact that you have to make paper and I would also like the fact that you get to see what they used back then to make paper.Since I enjoy writing and reading very much none of this would be possible without paper.

I think that I would do good at being a potter.I think that, because potters have to be good at math and art.  Potters have to be good at math, because they need to know the width, the height, and how big the pot has to be.  A potter has to be good at art, because they need to design the pot.I think that it'll be fun to be a potter.

We are learing about glassmaker, hatter, tanner, Sliversmith, and Blacksmith. I think the best trade for me would be milliner. I wish to be rich. I think this job will be perfect for me because maybe if I was poor i can't help my family.

I think I would be a good cooper because I would like to work in the town and talk to people. I would be good at making barrels and buckets out of wood because I'm very careful and neat. I think it is important to have barrels to store foods so they don't spoil.

If I had to choose a trade in Colonial Times I would like to be a Gunsmith.
I have chosen this job because the Gunsmith was always busy making and repairing guns.
This job was very important. People needed guns to protect their families and hunt for food.
By the way I think guns are very cool!!!

Austin -- I'm a Gunsmith!What are You?

Article posted February 9, 2010 at 12:39 AM GMT0 • comment (1) • Reads 1715

I think a Gunsmith would be the best trade for me because I would like to learn the three main parts of a gun,and I learn fast. So,once I learn how to repair a gun and I'll be gladly to repair guns or make a gun for the father of a family to use for protection and hunting. That would be helping people and I like that so I think Gunsmith would be the best trade for me.
