Jayhawker Chapters 1-4 Blog B

This situation is related to the Jayhawker book because the time period the book speaks about was brought up in the article. The proslavery and antislavery towns that were fueding in the football season are pretty much the same groups as the ones who existed back then. Facts in the story were twisted to make advertisements in the game, also making it relative to each other. Lastly, the Jayhawk mascot of Lawrence, Kansas are believed to have come from Jayhawkers, the antislavery men who raided bushwhacker villages in Missouri, which is home to the Tigers.

Jayhawker Chapters 1-4 Blog A

I think this battle between thoughts are pointless because it’s in the past and it’s unreasonable to bring it back after all of these years. I know everyone is open to ponder on their own opinions and actions, but why were they both still fueding over what took place during “Bleeding Kansas”? Personally, I would not be proud of the hating nature that went on, even if I was fighting for what I believed was right. It’s actually pretty awful to know how much hatred is existing between the two sides even now.

Teach A Word Reflection

I believe that I did a good job on creating my poster.  Speaking loudly was also one of my strengths.  I could have improved on speaking slower. My memoraztion could of been better also. I was kind of nervous I must admit, but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be!
