Introduction
Your year in 5th grade will be full of exciting and challenging moments. If there is one thing you should know about 5th grade is that there is a lot of expectation in the classroom. You will have many challenges as you make your way through 5th grade. You have opportunities to be very social and learn how to communicate well. There are many favorite field trips, events and moments in 5th grade. You will read about each of these things in my essay.
Favorite Moments
Riverbend I chose it because I made new friends and kept the old. Last week I got 3 interceptions and everyone gave me compliments. Yesterday I got a cool interception it bounced off my left hand then right, left, right then I caught it.
Survival Tips
Don’t make teachers mad or they will just get mad at the whole class. Call friends if you missed an assignment on the planner. Ask parents for help on your homework or you will get a late or you will not understand it.
Classroom Expectation
Respect is 1 of the biggest things in life and if you’re in 5C you will learn/hear a lot of lectures that will help you in life. The Golden Rule is the most important thing in life (treat others how you would like to be treated). Have fun. don’t think it is all serious in 5th grade. It is sometimes, but not a lot.
Social
I met new friends like Jameson, Clarissa, and Adrain. Jameson is cool because he is nice, loyal, and loves football. Clarissa is cool by being nice, fun/funny, kind. Adrain is cool by being nice loves football (was a running back in Madelia), kind.
Challenges
Projects can be hard by partners you get, not always on task, and scrunched in time. Friends can be hard if you had a fight, not working on tasks together. Essays can be hard by having to write, paragraph after paragraph after paragraph, boring to some, just not very easy at all.
Concluding
Well that is my year in 5th grade. I hope you will enjoy it just as much as I did. You will have a lot of fun hanging out with your old friends and new.

First Snow
by Marie Louise Allen
Snow makes whiteness where it falls.
The bushes look like popcorn-balls.
The places where I always play
Look like somewhere else today.
