This is my spreadsheet that I have been updating every week in math class. I have put my "money" in to Microsoft, Wal Mart and Coca-Cola. Right now I am actually losing money but it is still a lot of fun to check my stocks every week. We are on week 20 and and stiil keeping track. I hope at the end I am in "The Black" or gaining money in the stock market.

In April last year my neighbors went to the Frozen Four which is college hockey championships. On the
Way home from D.C. I told my neighbor to chug his orange juice. A few minutes later we went and found
the fake throw up bags and we fake threw up. But then this time Dylan absolutely upchucked his OJ.

Mens Ice Hockey
Hockey is a sport that has transformed in history that is becoming very popular. The word hockey comes from the old french word, "hocquet". Ice hockey made its olympic debut in 1920 in Antwerp. It started out in the summer olympics but then it got changed to winter. A goal in hockey is the act of when a player shoots the puck into the opposing net. An assist is the the person that passes to the scorer. A hat trick is when a player gets three goals in a game. The goal line is the line that represents the line for the goalies and icing. When a player ices the puck its when he shoots the puck on the other end of the red line pass the goal line without any contact.
Most of these Olympians play in the NHL, but in February is usually the All-Star-Break but this year there was a treat for the players, to be honored and play for their home country. There are three positions in hockey. One is the goalie, each team has a net around six feet wide and four feet tall. Goalies have to be extra flexible especially when they go down in a butterfly position when both pads are layed down going wide. The next position are defensemen, there are two of them on the ice at a time. They are usually bigger than other skaters. They are the ones that protect the goalie and pass into the offensive zone. There is also the forwards that run the offense. There are three of them on the ice at a time. They have to be faster than all the other players. These skaters usually score the goal.
The pressure was all on Canada going into the 2010 Winter Olympics. For Canada who is all about hockey they had only won one gold medal in the event in the last 58 years. Russia had a very skilled offensive game. But all eyes were on the best Canadian team they had ever had. Sidney Crosby, NHL scorer and assistant captain for team Canada had high expectations for this year's squad. United states had had the youngest team in history since 1980. United States was ranked number six in the Olympic pole going into the games.
They started out with a win v.s. Switzerland and extended with a win against Norway. Canada played the same teams and won both until they would face off with the U.S. in the last round robin game. Everybody expected Canada to destroy these Americans. But United States got an early goal and took the fans out of it. The Canadian team would keep on bouncing back goals until the Americans took the game 5-3 with an emty net goal by Ryan Kesler as he said before the game, "I hate the Canadians." U.S. would roll to the finals with big wins over Swiitzerland and Finland. While Canada beat the next team Russia, knocking them out early, and a close win over Slovakia getting them to the gold medal game.
The bronze medal game was between Finland and Slovakia. Slovakia an unlikely team took a lead over Finland but then they bounced back and took over the bronze medal. While there was a lot of tension in the air going into the gold medal game, the Canadians needed revenge against this young American squad. The Canadians started the first period with a rebound goal by Jonathan Toews. The Canadians scored early in the second making it a 2- 0 game. But the U.S. bounced back and scored to trail by one. And with a minute left the Americans had pulled the goalie and needed a goal for overtime. That is when Zach Parise's rebound went past the left pad of Canadian goalie Roberto Luongo. But then in the first eight minutes of overtime everybody was playing their hearts out. With eight minutes into overtime Sidney Crosby burried a give and go pass from Jarome Iginla past star American goalie Ryan Miller.
This year's ending was a thriller to the two countries that played in it. This was the most watched hockey game ever. Even if people did not know what the sport was they were just cheering on their countries team. That shows that the Olympics can really bring people and fans together. To me, this was one of the best hockey games I have ever seen. All I have to say wait until 2014 in Sochi, Russia where the Americans will win the gold.

Hello my name Brodie Peterson and most people call me Sir Peterson. I am a 21-year old Caledonian warrior that has a wife and three kids. My large family has some huts in the Caledonian village of Dochgarros, at the top of the Caledonian canal. The males in my family have all been a part of the military while the women have a background of hardwork at home for when men came home. My little brothers who are not old enough to be in the military make blacksmith tools. Right next to our village there was a nice stream of fresh water that supplied our family very well. Timber was a useful supply to build our villages. Each village had forests usually in the outskirts, if you follow the river you will find the timber supply. I have just got word from General Anderson that the Romans are in our territory, which some are villages of friends.
So yes, General Anderson came into every soldiers village and wanted us to come to the fort to get some new weapons. I had to pack my bags quick and go to the fort right next to the border. I packed some uniforms along with some weapons and I was on my way with the General. My brother John had been coming along with us for his first time. He had been waiting to get out there along he was nervous. Our wives had been preparing us freshly cooked meals for us these last couple of days. Our sons have been making weapons and tools for battle. Romans would use these tools to copy invented weapons of their enemies. Our general is telling us to be ready for a new weapon they have brought to test.
We had a furnace or a fire to burn up these blacksmith tools. The romans used a furnace to heat up their baths and saunas. The women in Caledonia were responsible for sewing and weaving clothing for men and everybody. When the romans came in they had to know how to repair their own clothes. Other than water my family drank a lot of ale. It is grown a lot in our farm. Children take part in drinking this beverage also. Romans drank a lot of wine in their camps, amphora's were used for storing this wine. When we had got to the base of the fort we were brought to practice with weapons. We had used a lot of spears used for slahing and cutting through enemies skin. With the romans metal plate armour we need this extra damage on enemies. Protecting our own bodies we used a shield that was long enough to to block our whole bodies. General Anderson told us to shave upand get dressed in uniform for battle. He also said we weren't allowed to shave again until we had killed someone.
I was just about to go into battle when I had got word that romans had been back in Dochgarros near our village. I didn't know if they were ok or not but all I wanted to do is get back and help them. I went out and we were following along a river until we had seen enemy base we made camp away from them and was waiting for the time to attack. Me and my brother really wanted to sneak out and get back to Dochgarros. I wanted to go back and I couldn't I had to stand up for Caledonia.

VALENTINES
-There's always a high air pressure when your in the room.
-My love for you is like a cirrus cloud getting near us.
-If an anemometer measures wind speed when a dove just flew, it also measures my love for you.
-My love for you is like the atmosphere in the thermosphere.

New England
Factory so clogged
earlier it was so clear
now it is only clear so near
Clouds lie so low
nobody can even know
Air so soaked
Air so misty
It just looks so gloomy
Wait now its far
I can barely see a car
Clouds fly away
While the winds sway
I see the sun comes out
While the flowers begin to sprout
I see kids playing in the park
All the dogs begin to bark
Kids playing basketball
Kids playing baseball
Pitcher sets the mound
Sun comes down
Park gates close
All the kids say, “That blows”
The Kids go have dinner
Nobody knows who's the winner

MARTIN LUTHER KING
“I HAVE A DREAM”
Martin Luther King was a reverend in Atlanta, Georgia during the Civil Rights Movement. He was not happy about what was going on in the country at this time. He wanted all men to be equal to each other. He stood up in front of America and gave them the speech they needed at the time. “That all men are created equal”, he said. He wanted everybody to be judged by the content of their character, rather than the color of their skin.
I think he did change our country because our schools are filled with mixed cultures and our clubs and sports teams have all types of people. To this day we have a black president leading our country. Martin Luther King would have been proud today if he was alive. I think he was right when he said, “It is a dream deeply rooted in the American dream”.
