I read the book Sign of the Beaver by Elizabeth George  Speare. If you like adventure books, than this is the book for you. It is realistic fiction. The main character is Matt. He and his dad move to Maine from Quincy in in the 1700's. They built a log cabin and planted some crops. Then the dad leaves to get the rest of the family, including a newborn. Leaving Matt out in the middle of the woods alone. If this review intrests you than than this book  is for you.
