I would give advice to Gwen in the book things hoped for by Andrew Clements by telling her that even though her grandfather died she should still be strong because his grandfather would want the best for Gwen. Also I would tell Gwen that she should be strong to get into the school for the violin. But the best advice for Gwen’s grandfather would be that he shouldn’t have went in the freezer if he knew that he was going to die at any moment, but he Gwen grandpa went in the freezer anyway and Gwen found him the day before her audition for the violin school. But in the end Gwen pulled through and did well because that is what her grandfather wants for her. That would be the advice for Gwen and her grandfather.

The main character in the book Things hoped for by Andrew Clements is Gwen. Gwen in this story has many character traits. The biggest character trait that Gwen has is shocked. I say that Gwen is shocked because she finds her grandfather in the freezer dead. Her grandfather died from a natural cause. But also Gwen was very excited for her violin class to go to a bigger school. She was excited for geting into the school. That was the biggest character traits of Gwen from the book Things Hoped for by Andrew Clements.

A text to text connection from the book Things hoped for by Andrew Clements and the book Perfect by Natasha Friend would be that they have a lot of conflict throughout the book. The conflict in Things Not Seen would be when Bobby’s Grandfather throughout this book has troubles which is affecting Gwen due to the fact that one day she comes home her grandfather is dead because he was dieing from natural causes but he wanted Gwen to find out later because she had a interview for college the next day. The conflict in the perfect would be that when Isabella decides that she is to fat that she needs to lose weight so she goes bulimic. Isabella goes to therapy but she doesn’t stop because she meets Ashley and she has the same problem that Isabella has. Those two together isn’t the best idea that Isabella had. That was the text to text connection between the book Things hoped for and Perfect.

The current conflict in the book Things Not Seen by Andrew Clements would be when one night Bobby’s parents were driving and they got into an accident. Bobby was devastated to hear that his parents were in serious condition in the hospital while he feels help less in his home thinking about what he can do. It really wasn’t helping his parents to know that there kid was invisible. But to add onto this conflict their neighbor Mrs. Trent watches the house because she knows that his parents were in a car accident. But the one day Mrs. Trent came over to give cookies to Bobby but before that Mrs. Trent called the hospital to ask who was watching Bobby. Bobby’s mom told Mrs. Trent that his aunt is staying with him till his parents get home. There is a problem because Mrs. Trent comes over to Bobby’s house to check on him, but his aunt that is watching him isn’t really watching him. So Mrs. Trent comes over to the house to check up and make sure that Bobby’s “aunt” is there, Bobby answers the door but he tells a lie to Mrs. Trent and tell her that his “aunt” is in the bath. That is the current conflict in the book Things Not Seen by Andrew Clements.

The conflict in the book Things Not Seen by Andrew Clements the conflict would be Character vs. Self. I pick Character vs. self due to the fact that one morning Bobby wakes up in the broad day light and he can’t see himself in the mirror. This had made a change for Bobby because his parents are the only ones who know about him being invisible. That had made him change would be when on one could see him to care for him or just talk about his problems. Also that has made him change do to the fact that he met this girl who is blind but Bobby can talk to someone even though she can’t see him. That was the conflict and the change Bobby went though before he met Alicia.

The point of view from the book Things not seen by Andrew Clements would be written in First person narrative. I think that this book is written in first person narrative due to the fact that when the author in chapter one first sentence says "It's a Tuesday morning in February, and I get up as usual, and I stumble into the bathroom to take a shower in the dark". This supports my point of view of the book because it says "I stumble to the shower" it doesn't say she stumbled to the shower because an author isn't telling the story bobby is telling the story. Also in the book to support my point of view would be when the author says "I come here a lot, and I know the guy who's working at the security desk today". I think this also supports my point of view also because the words that are used do not say bobby know the person working at the security desk to. I like this book written in first person narrative because it expresses what the character is really feeling. That is what I think that the book Things not seen by Andrew Clements would be written in third person, and some facts to support my response

Main Idea of Counting on Grace

The main idea of the book counting on Grace by Elizabeth Winthrop would be that some kids in 1910 had to work to put food on the table because their father died and the mother can't support the family. But also Arthur is the only support that his mother has. But in grace's case she is forced to work at the mill because if she turns down the offer her family can be kicked out of their house. Also another main point in the story would be that when her family tied down her grandfather for his own good and everybody else’s good. But one day Grace felt back her him and let him go. After Grace had let him go her grandfather went to the train tracks were he was going home but when he thought the train was going to stop it didn't and ran him over which killed him. Grace felt really bad after she found out about her grandfather being run over by a train. Those were the main points of the book counting on Grace by Elizabeth Winthrop.

The point of view of the book Counting on Grace by Elizabeth Winthrop would be written in third person narrative. I know that the book is written in third person narrative because the only time they the use the character names would be when they are quoeting what the character said. I know this book is written in third person also becuase grace has to work at the mill every day and one day when Arthur gets his book taken away while reading at the mill and French Johnny takes the book. When she gets caught they discribed her feeling as very nervous because she thinks that French Johnny will kick her out and then her whole family will get kicked out because the people who own the mill own almost the whole town and all the houses that are there. I think that the way this book is written is written very well because Grace tell her true inside feelings. That was the book Counting on Grace was written in third person narrative.
