We have three 6th grade Science classes and two 8th grade Science classes blogging here from the Pacific Northwest in Chimacum, WA! Sixth graders are learning a bit about Mt Saint Helens, environmental science through fresh water ecology, and physical science this year. Eighth graders are learning about life science this year. Gulf of Mexico oil spill information Massive Oil spill has got cleaning crews flabbergasted!! The oil is the result of an explosion that occurred on April 20 aboard the Deepwater Horizon oil rig, 50 miles off the coast of Louisiana. The thick, black oil is threatening miles and miles of coastline in four different states. Many kinds of animals are being affected by this. This spill has the potential of becoming the worst environmental disasters in United States History. Take Care Of Our Oceans=http:// :)
