We have three 6th grade Science classes and two 8th grade Science classes blogging here from the Pacific Northwest in Chimacum, WA! Sixth graders are learning a bit about Mt Saint Helens, environmental science through fresh water ecology, and physical science this year. Eighth graders are learning about life science this year. Conditions of Use


Living, or not? Living things. So many of them. There are many different characteristics of living things. Living things breath, move, reproduce, grow, eat food and have cells. I'm living. Did you know a rocking horse was once living because it was made from a tree? I know! Weird right!? Living things. So many many things are living. Today we also debated whether a seed is living. It is, it's kind of like a bear in hibernation.
