When a battery is dead, you normally plug it in if it's rechargable. But, there's more to it than that. Chemical energy is inside the battery. When it gets the electrical energy, it all turns into chemical energy which repowers the battery. Then, the battery is ready to work! I find it amazing how fast electrical energy can turn into chemical energy. Energy is an amazing thing!
