We have three 6th grade Science classes and two 8th grade Science classes blogging here from the Pacific Northwest in Chimacum, WA! Sixth graders are learning a bit about Mt Saint Helens, environmental science through fresh water ecology, and physical science this year. Eighth graders are learning about life science this year. Conditions of Use


Transferring energy When you place a charged battery into a device, you are transferring the stored chemical energy from the battery to electrical energy then the device will turn on.

If you plug a lamp into the wall the same thing is happening but the energy is coming out of the wall. But this time it is charging a light bulb so when the electrical energy transfers to the bulb. The electrical energy turns to light and heat.
