my team study tubers (potatoes, onions, yams, and others like that) and tried to a potato clock. a tuber is a eatable root. Most tubers have many acids in them. they produce energy because they have all those acids in them it creates a chemical reaction between copper and zinc or magnesium. in our project we tried to make a potato clock. We couldn't get the clock to work with potatoes or with yams but we did create 4.0 volts. i was in-charge of studding why tuber produce energy. this is the website i used.

the paramicia, and amobia are single celled organisms. the elodia has multiple cells. The elodia is independant and doesnt need the paramicia, or amobia to live on its own, the paramicia and amobia needs other cells to survive. so you can tell because they need oher cells to survive.

We measured the elastic force of a rubber band by using a spring scale and a meter stick each time we increased the amount we pulled the rubber band the amount of force would increase.

batterys are made of many different thight such as paste like in a dry cell battery or a liquid like in a wet cell battery. some are lager than other like the one davy built. his was the size of a classroom he helped make a new branch called electrochemistry.

What is water pollution? When waste products or other substances change the physical, thermal, chemical, or biological characteristics of the water. So then adversely affecting living species and reduces the waters beneficial uses. What are some of the sources of water pollution? Pollution is caused by PCB’s, DDT, chloride, and erosion by going into the water. Do you want this to happen our water? What are some of the consequences of water pollution? It harms the environment because pesticides and fertilizers get in the water and poison the fish. Then people eat the poisoned fish and die. What can be done to improve the quality of water after its been polluted? You can properly recycle or dispose of water after it has been polluted. What are some actions that can be taken to help prevent water from being polluted? You can prevent water pollution by cleaning lakes and rivers. And also disposing of toxic substances carefully, and chemicals like motor oil should never be pored down the drain. What are nitrates and how do they get in our water supply? Nitrates are chemical compounds that contain polyatomic ion nitrates, which have one atom of nitrogen and three atoms of oxygen. That gets in our water by fertilizers being washed into our water. What affects do high nitrates have on people? High nitrates cause an increase of cancer and poisons young children. What is considered a safe level of nitrates in our drinking water? Researchers suggest a level of 100mg/l of nitrates. What should a person do if their are high nitrates in there drinking water? Don’t give the contaminated water to young children. Then find and reduce the source, and don’t boil the water it just adds more nitrates. What can be done to help prevent nitrates from entering our water? Don’t use a lot of fertilizer so it doesn’t pollute our water. So what are point and non point sources of pollution and what are the differences between the two? A point source is of pollution that you can find and a non point source is harder to find so the difference is you can find point sources of pollution easer that non point sources.
