I know that snails are really slimy, small, they are bad for your garden, and they leave a trail of slime that is really annoying to clean up. The biggest snail was 15 inches long and weighed 2 pounds. That's disgusting.

What I would like to know about snails like what they eat and how long they live. And how they mate and stuff. This project is gross.

Peace.

They grow out of their shells when they get to big they excrete a calcium protien that harden into the shells.

They are realated to slugs are both genders.

I want to know how long they can live how much weight can a snail pull? Why salt hurts them? Why are there aquatic snails?

Do snails have a preference of foods?

If they do do they prefer lettuce cheese meat or candy.

We will measure how many times a snail goes for a specific food namely 4 trials for each snail.

Record which food the snail goes for.

Candy, hot dog, lettuce, cheese, cardboard .

Prediction: Snails will prefer lettuce.

Step 1: Set up Cardboard x-shape

Step 2: Get cardboard wet

Step 3: Place foods in 4 sections of x

Step 4: Make data table.

Step 5: Place first in center.

Step 6: Record results for trial 1

Step 7: Repeat for snail 1 three more times and then do 4 trials with second snail. Make sure to record data.

Step 8: Report findings on blog

they die when brought in contact with salt.

their slow

their slimy

their shell is made out of calcium

do they eat anything, or is it certain food (besides salty food) they they eat?

can they SMELL?

if they can smell, do they know how HORRIBLE smelling they are?

The few things I know about snails is that the 'slime' is mucus, their eyes are also retractable. They have hundreds of tiny teeth used to much through grass and others plants. Good thing they are herbivores. I also know that snails like to hibernate during colder times like bears do.

I want to know about the different types of food they enjoy and how long they might live in a closed environment.

I think snails are really interesting animals I don't know that much about them but some little facts I know are that salt or sugar can kill them just like slugs. Also they are old insects probaly about 600 million years old, so that wasn't that much information but I still want to learn more about them I hope I have a chance to experiment and learn about them

They have shells

They have been around scince the same time as the dinosaur

There are freashwater, saltwater, and land snails

They have both sprem and eggs and when reproducing both snails get preago and lay eggs ( animal plant has videos of this... Its weird.)

They are prenocturnal witch means they prefer night but do come out in the daylight occasionly

They burn in salt

And leave slime trails so they dont get lost

You can eat them ( BUT DONT!!! Eww...)

And they carry bacteria i think...

I would like to know:

the bigget snail ever found

Why there so weird

What those eye ball thing are... And why there so fun to poke!
