observation and inference?
Mr. G gave us a cube with a missing side, and we had to try to figure out what should be on that missing side, by looking at the other sides of the cube. On the first cube, we thought it was the number 2, because that was the missing number on the cube. On the second cube, some people thought it was Frances, and some Francessa, because on the opposite side it was Fred and it went boy and girl on opposite sides. The difference between an observation and an inference is an observation is when you look at something, and you see that it is there. An inference is thinking about how it got there, or what it could be. That's observations vs. Inferences:)
