Floating Crayon lab We did a floating crayon lab and for my team we measured the amount of salt it took for each crayon to float. Our experiment showed that the lighter colored crayons were less dense. It took only 1 spoonful of salt to make our red crayon float but it took 8 spoon fulls to make our brown to finally float. Which proves the darker crayons are more dense. And the lighter crayon is less dense.
