Disciplines of the Social Studies Posters (10/27/09)
Description:
Each student was assigned one of the major disciplines (or areas of focus) in the social studies. The students used pictures and captions to address three major questions about their discipline.
1. What does the discipline study?
2. What techniques or methods does the discipline use?
3. How is the information used or what kind of occuptions are available using the discipline

In social studies class we made posters on one of the five social studies disciplines. My discipline was political science. Political science is government and how it works.

I made a poster about policital science. Political Science is the study of government and how it works. There are different types of government like monarcy and democracy. Some levels of goverment are local, state, and national.

In the beginning of the school year, my 7th grade Social Studies class was given a project were we had to define one of the words that make up Social Studies. I was given Geography as a word to define. Geography means the studie of the Earths phyical freachers and their effect on humans.
