Last Fall we watched two Swallowtail butterfly caterpillars build their chrysalises in our classroom aquarium. Mrs. Sanborn brought them home where they stayed for the winter, then brought them back to school in the spring. On the Friday before Spring Break a beautiful Swallowtail butterfly emerged out of one of the chrysalises. We brought it outside and set it free.

We learned about Sound during a Science Unit. Our final project was to make our own musical instruments. Here is a short video of our 2S band.

We sponge painted a sun and made a paper mache earth and moon when we learned about the moon in our classroom. It was a messy project, but also a lot of fun!
