Gaduation

In only 3 weeks all the year 6 people are leaving. I am a year six. We are practicing our candle ceremony which is when we walk down the church and we carry a candle. Then we place it on a stand.Near the end we get our graduation certificates and then we sing our song that we have been practicing.

On the weekend me, my mum, Brodie and Addison got to go town and pick a packet of chips and a packet of lollies. When we got home I picked a movie from sky movies I picked Confessions of a Shopaholic. I had a great weekend.

We are having school production called The Stars Come Out for Christmas. In this production there is an award to win for outstanding contribution to Christmas. The award is the Cracker. The hosts of this big night are Carole Singer (Allysa) Noel Noels (Stephen) Chrissie Pressie (Madeline) Ollie Berry (Darom). This is a family show so bring along your family to this specal night. Our producion will be held at the Speirs Centre on Wednesday 2 December and Thursday 3 December. We hope you can come!!!!.

This term we are learning about animas and were they ive. I am doing a Pekinese which is a type of dog. The things I know about my animal is that underneath their wolly coat is soft pink skin. They also have flat faces, another thing I know is that they can live up to 13-15 years.

Last week it as Brianna's 11th birthday. I went to her house for a sleepover. We watched two movies, 17 again and bride wars. In the morning we went to the lido. Later after I came back from Brianna's I wet to the Rhythm of Ireland. It was so amazing because they moved their feet so fast.

My habitat and sock puppet

In class this term we made sock puppets and their habitats. I made a Pekenese and its a dogs. For its habitat I made a backyard where they go to relax. A Pekinese is a dog from China. They have a flat face. On Friday, at assembly, we presented our sock puppets and their habitats.It took a whole week took make them to a very high quality. I think they look amazing!

One of my best friends is Bailey. She is cool because she just goes wit the flow. The other thing thats really cool about her is if you need help with something she will help you. Bailey plays lots of sports like soccer and netball. She also does drama she is very good.

On the last Wednesday of the school holidays I went to Te Manawa with my friends Brianna and Madeline. The exhibit we went to was Top Secret. My favourite time in Top Secret was when I went into the Laser room. You weren`t allowed to look straight at the lasers or the alarm would go off and if you touched the laser the alarm would still go off. I didn't complete the lasers because I would either touch the lasers or go too low. I had heaps of fun hanging out with my friends so in other words I am looking ford to seeing my teacher and classmates!

My mum bought a dog called Gorden. Gordan is so small he can fit in my hand bag. Brodie likes it when Gordan sits in him. Gordan is so small compared to other dogs so when I have been around him then go near my other dog Jesse, Jesse seems so huge even though she is actually quite small. My little sister Addison likes carrying Gordan around the house. I like making Gordan dance

On Saturday I went to the Foxton spring Fling with my Grandad. The reason we went was because he is in the Lions Cub. They were holding a raffle. The prizes were a box of roses chocolate or a medium chicken. Near the end I went shopping. I also got some food

For the last 4 weeks of term we are having a student teacher his name is Mr Durston. He is very funny. Mr Durston knows one of the songs we sing for kapa haka its called Piriponotia. In the mornings he does the roll and prayers with us. Mr Durston is cool I will miss him next term.

This term our topic is Seige Warfare. We all had a question mine was Why did Ms Hayes say ladders are part of Seige Warfare. We were put into groups with people who had the same question in my group is Madeline and Bailey. We decided to make a seige tower because they were related to the ladders. I have learnt that the ladders were put against the towers and the fighters would climb up them. But it is also very dangerous be ause the people inside the tower could push down the ladder and kill the people on the ladder so they used Seige Towers to fight in.

On Saturday Brianna Madeline and I went on a shopping trip into town. First we went to Te Manawa where our class went earlier that week. We each had a turn at the catapult to work it you need to twist 2 levers and pull back on the thing that releases the tennis ball or whatever you were shooting. After that we walked down to the Plaza and my Grandad drove. When we got to the plaza we couldn't find him so I called him and he was about 5 minutes away. When he finally arrived we had McDonalds for lunch, said bye to my Grandad, and went shopping. We saw Danielle and Caitlin so we walked around with them until we went to Animates. We saw some puppies. If you put your finger in the crack under the glass then the puppies will come and lick your finger.
Then it was time to drop them home and go rest our feet.

On Sunday Revon my great aunty came to visit. She drove down from New Plymouth. Revon came because it was her birthday. We all went out to lunch at Valentines. It was so yummy my favourite thing was the ice-cream with chocolate cream. After Valentines we went back to my Grandparents house and Revon gave Addison, Brodie and me a bag of lollies. But I was extra special I got a pair of gold pearl earrings and a matching necklace. At 2.00pm it was time for Revon to start driving back home.

I read a book called Miles to go by Miley Cyrus. This book is about her life so far. In this book I learned she is left handed, and was cheer leader before she was famous. Her top things to do are calligraphy, beading, knitting, scrap booking, reading the life the story of Einstein, being a marine biologist and high fashion. Miley Cyrus is also close to her famous dad Billy Ray Cyrus. He is on her tv show Hannah Montana. Miley has brother Braison who is in the band that sang Shake It.

In my family I live with my Grandma. She is a great cook. My Grandad is playing game with my brother Brodie and me. Brodie likes all types of superheros like Spider-man, Batman and Blue Beetle. I also have a little sister Addison. She like Dora the Explorer. My mum takes us toy shopping heaps. She is so cool because she spoiles us by giving us Junk Food and hiring us out Dvds or games for Brodies xbox. My granny is cool because she takes us to the movies. Brodie and I get to have turns picking what movie we watch. Allen takes us to building shops like mitre 10 mega and Bunnings warehouse on Saturday mornings and we sometimes get a sausage sizzle from Mitre 10 Mega

On the weekend I went to Hannah Montana The Movie with my Granny. I liked the movie because it was funny. My favourite part was when Jackson fell off the ladder and landded in some squash plants. In this movie a reporter try to find out Hannah montana`s Secret. Miley has a supprise from her dad she thinks she is going to New York but really she is going to Tenasse her home town. When she arrives her brother arrived in a old truck with a slobbery dog.

I have a lot of friend these are my closest friends Brianna, Madeline, Lian, Caitlin, Sha-hade and Bailey.
Brianna is good at drawing. She likes to draw heaps of things.
Madeline is a good dancer she goes to ballet, contempory and jazz. Lian is a very caring person if you're upset she will always help you.
Caitlin has a great sense of humor. When she starts laughing others do to.
Sha-hade is good friend. She is very smiley. Sha-hade also does dancing
Bailey is very sporty. She does swimming, soccer and netball.

In the holidays my cousin Nicholas, Aunty Carol and Aunty Anne-Marie came down from Auckland for my Granddad`s birthday.
My Granddad picked what he got for his birthday dinner and he chose a roast. For desert there was a pavlova with cream and ice cream. The cake was a fruit cake.
Nicholas and I went to the plaza on Saturday and we got to make a bunny rabbit out of a balloon. I found it hard to twist the balloon to make it stay together. Nicholas was really good at it and I think his was better then mine.
At 1.00pm we took My aunties and cousin to the airport. In the parking area Nicholas dropped his balloon and it popped he did`nt really care because he was`nt sure if he could take it on the plane.

Forest Lakes camp

On April 28 2009 we went to forest lakes camp. The first thing we did was unpack got settled in and had a snack. The First activity was to have look around camp. We found a little park and a canteen. After that we walked back to our meeting area. We split into our groups and went to our very first activity the mudslide. When we got to the mudslide Carl [one of our parents looking after us] went into the mud pool and picked up all the weeds from the bottom and chucked them out. I was nervous to go down so I waited for a little while till I was a little more confident. At the top I looked like a long way down. But it looked fun it was so much fun. After everyone had a go both of the parents had a turn going down. I liked the mudslide because It was new and exiting.
After the mudslide went to the water slide. On the way we saw the another groups that had just been at the mudslide and they said that there was a water rat. At the water slide we all were nervous because it was so high up. The people that went down in our group were Danielle, Laura,and Stephen. When everyone that wanted to go down the water slide did the we left and went to the playground, then we went back to the cabin and had a warm shower. The next thing was we had lunch.
After lunch we went coonuing. We had to put on life jackets so if we fell in the lake we wouldent drown. I didnt really like connuing because it was hard rowing. The best part was being allowed to walk on the backs of the others consus.
The next activity as the flying fox. I didnt go on the flying fox. But it was interesting watching the others come over the lake and crash into the tyres.
I really enjoyed camp and I would go back any time.
