 MyModigliani Report Modigliani is an artist, born in Italy 1884. He made his own style of art. Early Years Modigliani caught tuberculosis at the age of sixteen and at the age of thirty five succumbed to it. He was born into a very poor family and wasn’t a healthy person. In 1898 Modigliani caught typhoid fever. He was interested in African masks. In Paris In 1906 Modigliani settled in Paris. He had a great interest in symbolism. In Paris among émigrés died down all too soon. Modigliani met a woman called Jeane Hebuterne and soon began a love affair with her. His Paintings Modigliani did elegant elongated necks and faces and didn’t do full figures usually just up to the shoulders. He developed a flat style of art. He did a unique style of his paintings which couldn't be categorised .In some of Modigliani's paintings they were empty eyed. Modigliani had a short career but there were times of good work. In the museum of modern art 1914 consisted of head figures. He didn’t sell much paintings in his career. Modigliani not only painted bu also did stone sculptures.
