Clay Tiles
The Bright Stars have been reading legends and tales from New Zealand,China and Africa. They have been making connections between the stories and finding what features are the same and what are different. The Te Arawa legend Hatupatu and the Birdwoman provided the context for our art work this week. The Bright Stars used clay to create a tile showing one of the servants of the Birdwoman either a bird or a lizard. I was impressed with how carefully the Bright Stars worked and followed the instructions. They all made a tile to be proud of. The tiles will slowly dry and harden over the coming week and will then be taken home by the clever artists.
