You are now in 5th grade. You have been in school for six years. In another six years you will be a senior in high school. Believe it or not, you are half way through your public schooling life.
What kind or person are you right now in 5th grade? What kind of person do you hope to be in 12th grade?
What are you good at right now in 5th grade? What do you hope to be good at when you graduate 12th grade?
What else would your 12th grade self want to remember about your 5th grade self?

After studying the regions of the United States, our class got together in "families" and competed in the "American Family Contest" against the other 5th grades classes!
We had to convince the judges that one region in the USA was the best for our "family." We also visited the region on a "virtual field trip" and sent home postcards to friends or family about the region.
Check out the postcards wnd some things we learned about the regions by clicking on any of the "American Family Postcard" links!

I think Mr. Warlick, the Wizard of OZ behind our website, has things figured out and I can now approve all the work that has been piling up!
I just approved the "Charlie's Matrix." (Hey, girls, I think there's trouble on the playground!) Now onto the last two week's of news articles, other Writing Projects, the American Family Postcards. . . .Lots of work!
