Former presidents have been honored with statues, portraits, and holidays. People who have taken part in important events should be memorialized in some way. For example, signers of the Declaration of Independence and people who made important events happen.

The Virginia Company established two colonies. They were Popham Colony and Jamestown colony. Jamestown was located in Virginia. Popham Colony was located in Maine.
If I was King James I of England, I wouldn't have made the new colonies pay high taxes. I would've given them a little more freedom. They would have to pay taxes only for molasses and seasoning such as salt, pepper, and sugar. I would never send soldiers to control the settlers.

I think only one good thing came from the sinking of the Titanic. People would be able to examine the ship. Whatever made it sink would've given the examiners clues. They could use this information and examination results to make better ships in the future.
Once we made better ships that were "unsinkable," travel would be safer for passengers. People might or might not be afraid of ship travelling after the Titanic. But I think that learning from shipbuilding mistakes would've at least encouraged them to put a little faith in ships. We have improved our ships ever since the Titanic sank.

I think good can come out of a disaster like this, but not much. Even though a lot of people died, at least some people and small families survived the sinking of the Titanic. At least some people got the chance to go back to be with their families. Yeah, more people could've escaped, but at least people survived.
I do admit. The comany that built the ship were a little cocky. Since the company viewed the ship as "unsinkable", the company decided to keep a very small amout of life boats onboard. And when the Titanic actually sunk, only some passangers made it. But, some is better is none. It actually could've been worse. There could be a chance where no one could make it.

President Abraham Lincoln, 56, of Washington D.C., was sent to the lord on April 14, 1865, at Ford's Theatre.
He was born on February 12, 1809, in Hodgenville, Kentucky. His presidency has made history. Although he is no longer with us, Lincoln will always be kept in our hearts. Lincoln's funeral took place by rail on a funeral train burial was at the Oak Ridge Cemetary.

I teach 7th grade GT American History and 8th grade GT Louisiana History at Paul Breaux Middle School.My hero is Thomas Jefferson. Jefferson was a jack-of-all-trades. He was a planter, a painter, a sculptor, a writer, an inventor, a thinker, an architect. He built the University of Virginia from the ground up. I would love to earn my PhD at his university or maybe teach there one day when I grow up.
