Maui and the Sun.
A very long time ago Maui was eating his dinner. He didn’t have enough time to eat because the sun was zooming too fast. He called to his very brave brothers. They made a trap out of strong flax to catch the boiling sun. Then they found the hole where the sun came up. They caught the sun. They heaved and Maui beat up the sun with a magic jawbone. The sun said, “Stop, let me go! Can’t you see I’m nearly dead?” “Let him go,” said Maui. “He won’t be so fast now.” So the sun moved slowly. Maui and his brave brothers had enough time to do their own stuff like fishing and hunting. Next they would eat their own dinner that they had caught.
