Caring
If the world didn’t have caring people there would be a big war (an all against all war.)And the cops would be over run. There would be no doctors, nurses, dentists, teachers, good parents/family members, SPCA, vets and etc.
Perseverance
If the world didn’t have persevering people cars wouldn’t be invented and lollypops wouldn’t be invented too and other inventions that had been made. There would be no power, no gas for cars, no computers or laptops and so on.
Respect
Imagine if we didn’t have respectful people there would be people swearing, being disrespectful, not following rule, doing graffiti and people robbing.
Honesty
Not having honesty would mean people would not own up or tell the truth for what they done and blame it on others.
Responsibility
If we didn’t have responsibility everyone would be losing things and forgetting thing and not being on time to thing. If you were doing a science experiment and forgot about it. It could have a dangers reaction.

I stood on the edge of haft a meter of remaining land. Formidable, devastated, sacred and freeing waiting for someone or something to save me. Lake Wakatipu had over flow because of all the rain. Most building have be evacuated and have not been flood because they had been saved by sand bags but 10,000,000 dollars worth of damage but no-one was killed in the flood. The town is very rich so they could pay for the damage the flood had done.

Persuasive paragraph

Some websites are not appropriate. Websites have viruses and errors that would make our computer as slow as a turtle dawdling across the ocean floor. Kids can’t go into violent images and inappropriate websites like facebook, twitter and youtube without teacher supervision ensuring that what they see is safe and appropriate. Do you want your children going on violent websites seeing rude images and accidentally putting a virus on the school computer system?
Good things: 1. I can explain my point of view using a title.2.I can use emotive words. Improvements: 1. I can back up my opinion with good detail and evidence. 2. Sentence stating my reason.

Gary is the best!

Article posted July 22, 2010 at 03:31 AM GMT0 • comment • Reads 195

Gary works hard to get Lynmore tidy but unlike other caretakers Gary does his job well. Gary always wants to go the extra mile. Gary is the boom at building. Have you ever seen a scruffy looking school? Well Lynmore school is the opposite because Gary’s around.
Daily Gary cleans up a range of disgusting messes that we make. Day after day Gary hoovers up puke with the vacuum cleaner and other messes like unblocking revolting stinky toilets because kids have stuffed toilet paper down the bowl as a joke. Gary also helps supervise at every school disco we have and helps clean up afterwards because he knows Mr D does not want a messy and smelly hall. Cleaning foul graffiti stinks but Gary cleans every last speck of it off without moaning! Some caretakers don’t ever do that because they slack off and moan that the kids that did it should do it themselves! Gary is the best caretaker you can ever have. He also replaces damaged windows that rugby boys have kicked a rugby ball into. Day after day after day Gary gets frisbees, shoes and hula hoops off roofs that kids have thrown up. You should try carrying around a big balky ladder? It’s hard work! At Lynmore we have a hard working caretaker and most of all he never moans.
Gary is a hard working DIY master! Gary makes community props in his own important time so our productions look fantastic. He’s also amazing because he helped the builder build the new class rooms because it would take a lot of stress off the builder. Is it Bob the Builder? No it’s our own DIY superhero! But it’s not all Gary does. He helped Tony build the swimming pool shelter and the girl’s and boy’s changing rooms. Gary also keeps the water nice and warm in the summer time. Gary and Tony go the extra mile and go around the school painting the outside of every classroom so our school looks spic and span. Gary always goes the extra mile to make our school look the best. Gary is the best at DIY!
Gary goes out of his job description and does the bonus jobs. Every year we hold a family fun night and did you know who plays Santa? Gary does. Gary also makes special equipment for kids with special needs: ramps and specialist chairs. He even helps on road patrol because there are not enough parent helpers. Gary also talks to us about his fishing trips and gives us amazing tips. Gary is the best caretaker in Rotorua. Gary is a hard working machine.
Now you know who’s the best caretaker around: Gary. Gary would be flattered if he won this award. A matter of fact, he would be stoked. So why look any further, I’ve proved he’s the best, he simply can’t be beaten!

The Wicked Room 7

Article posted December 3, 2009 at 08:41 PM GMT0 • comment • Reads 260

All of a sudden... the curtains zoomed open, I was nervously waiting for my turn to shine in the wings backstage.
Phoebe slowly crept out from the wings and using the elements of dance to show her movement she brought up the atmosphere of the graveyard. She hid behind the graveyard. She hid behind the grave stone after the song. The bats danced out using extremely jagged arm movements to show the movement o f a bat because they’re not bats. They had to have black scary pants, black freaky T-shirts and face paint on their legs and arms.
The spirits came out twisting and turning around the zombies on the ground. I was one of the spirits. We came out at different times so it looked better than looking like a bunch of cows in a group walking across the road to another paddock. I said in my head “A few minutes to go.” I felt better once I was on the stage because I felt tingly inside of me. I was excited! I had to wear clothes as white as snow, with misty stripes of material hanging off me. The spirits and me went slowly down like a bull slowly dying. When we were on the ground I could see the gloomy, glowing moon on the datashow.
I was still staring at the moon then I twisted over onto my tummy and pulled myself up to my spot. I pulled myself up strong because spirits are strong. I followed my leader Liam but... some people didn’t’ but only just so you couldn’t tell on the pumping life into the zombie. My group was up to the animation. Someone pulled the zombie as slow as a turtle. After the animation we got up, then the zombie took the 1st step, we got up and weaved through like spirits going through each other.
I didn’t want our performance to end because I really enjoyed it. I had never done this dance before!
