New Zealand is a small island country in the south Pacific Ocean.
There are two islands. The top island is called the North Island and the bottom island is called the South Island. Mount Cook is the tallest. It is 3764 metres.
New Zealand does dairy farming. We make ice-cream, milk, cheese and we do sheep farming.
New Zealanders play rugby. The All Blacks are our home team. Soccer is the most popular sport.
Kiwis are our national emblem.
We’ve got four million in New Zealand.
Although New Zealand is a small country it has a lot of variety with its birds, landscape and people.

Once upon a time there was a pig called Percy. He liked rugby. Percy played rugby. He got player of the day but he had no oranges because when you get player of the day you have to bring them. By the way, Percy is really dirty.
He scored ten tries today and he got a red ribbon. It said Good On You. Percy got into the NRL (National Rugby League) and Super 14. He was so good that every team wanted him.
Now Percy is 36 years old and he plays for the All Blacks. That’s why we won against the Welsh. He had such a hard game of rugby that he broke his leg. He can’t play rugby for a month. Oh no!
But he had fun signing balls, hats, T-shirts and flags.

Wow, look at those birds. They are called kaka and the little birds are called kakariki.
On the way there Mum drove me and Josh D. We had a quiet chat on the way there. When we got there we had morning tea. Then we went into the bush. But you had to push a button to open the door. Half of us went in and then we read a sign. It said ‘No Dogs Allowed’.
There is a fence. It is special to people who own Maungatautari because nothing can get past it. If a cat tried to jump the fence it won’t be able to do that because it will slide down on the ground. Mrs Collins rubbed a cork against a jar. It sounded like a fantail followed us on the track.
We saw tracking tunnels. In it was an ink card. It had ink in the middle of it and peanut butter as well. But we had a surprise visit. The bees. They stung 6 people. They went back to school.

I'm working with Casey. I am making the toes.
.........................................................
It was tricky for you to get the toes the right size to fit wasn't it Logan? But you made them a yucky monster colour that's for sure.

Kiwis are native birds of New Zealand. Kiwis eat worms. Their favourite food is insects and berries. Guess what. A female is bigger than a male. They have a good sense of smell.

The Livewires live in the North Island. Our town is very peaceful. Fourteen Livewires live on the farms, 10 Livewires live in town. Some Livewires work for OCC or other dairy farming companies. Farms have cows and sheep. Also you can get kiwifruit and maize. You can have beef cattle which is bulls. Sometimes your milk gets squeezed into a big tank and it’s sweet milk. Sometimes its turned into cheese and butter and sometimes it goes to the USA.
Some mountains around us are actually volcanoes but they’re extinct. The mountains are Kakepuku, Maungatautari and Pirongia. Those mountains are in the Waipa District. Maungatautari is a very special mountain because of birds and kiwis. It is a habitat for native birds because there are not many of them.

Wow Finn and Paul have a cool psp. They are black. Yesterday Toom 4 had a toy day. I brought a remote control car to school. Ben's remote control car's bonnet opened. Wow! Room 4 went into groups of 3. I was with Paul and Jack. We talked about our toys. Jack had a teddy. Paul had a PSP, it was black. Did you know that it had a tiny, tiny memory card?

My cat is black and whiter then
ever. She is only 18 months old. We got her from the SPCA. She has stitches on her tummy. Her fur on her tummy is shaved off. She can't have babies now but I wish she could have kittens so
I could take them to school.

My dog is called Roxy. Roxy is faster than me. Well a bit faster than me. My back yard seems as big as rugby field and we race each other from end to end.
