 Canterbury Earthquake
Ahhh! It’s shaking. Go, go, go. On Saturday 4th of September in Christchurch there was an earthquake that was a scale 7.1 on the Richter scale! Man that would be scary ! Most pipes were broken. More than 100 000 buildings are damaged and 350 fell down. So far there have been 158 aftershocks. The biggest aftershock is 5.8 on the Richter scale. So far there have been no deaths, two serious injuries and lots of cuts and broken bones. The engineers put stickers on buildings. Children are jumping in the cracks in the road. I think that is bad. One university student set up a Facebook page and got heaps of university students to clean the mud and sand on the ground.
