Our family went to Waitete Bay. It is north of Coromandel. We had 2 days of gales and storms, but still Dad, Mac and I went down to the beach in the worst possible weather. Mac went swimming until he was purple!! The rest was sunny and we loved it. We hit stones with wood . We picked up bags of rubbish too. We found giant oyster fossils in the rocks and I found one the size of my thumb nail. It was on a loose rock and I  took it home. We had yummy fish and chips at Barbara's house.
