Where we live
New Zealand is a peaceful country. Most of the Livewires like living in the quiet North Island with lots of green grass. Ten Livewires live in town and 14 live on farms.
There are lots of farms around us. Most of the farms are dairy farms. The cows get milked and it gets taken to a dairy factory, then will be made into cheese, butter and more stuff to eat. There are some farms that grow kiwifruit and maize. Most of the milk goes to the Fonterra dairy factory.
The two towns that we live in are Te Awamutu and Kihikihi. The population is 10 000 that lives in the towns Te Awamutu and Kihikihi.
There are some small mountains with extinct volcanoes. The names are Pirongia, Kakepuku and Maungatautari. Maungatautari is a bird sanctuary. There is a fence that is 50 km long. The fence keeps out pests such as ferrets, cats, stoats, rats, dogs and weasels away from the birds.
