Where we live
The Livewires live in the Waipa District, North Island, New Zealand. It is peaceful and quiet. There is not much traffic here. Fourteen people live on farms. Ten people live in town.
New Zealand has lots of farms. Mostly dairy farms. The dairy farms have cows on them. The dairy farm has a machine on it. The cows go there to get milked. The milk goes to the Fonterra factory.
Here are the two towns. One is called Te Awamutu. Our population (how many people live in Te Awamutu and Kihikihi) is ten thousand. In Te Awamutu there is a big Fonterra dairy factory. The factory collects all the milk from the dairy farms. The milk goes into trucks, big trucks too.
There is a place somewhere for native animals. There is a fence so stoats, ferrets and mice don’t get in.
