Dairy Products
Dairy Products are food made from milk. Cows eat grass to make milk. The grass travels throughout the bloodstream and into the udder. Some people in the country still do hand milking. Machine milking is much easier. It takes only five minutes.
First the farmer puts the suction cups on the teats, and then the machine sucks the milk from the udder. It only takes about five minutes to suck the milk out of the udder.
The tanker trucks take the milk to the factory. The tankers insulate the milk to keep it cool. Once the milk is in the factory they pasteurize the milk. That means that they quickly heat it, then quickly cool it. They do that to kill germs and bacteria. Dairy products are, cream, milk, cheese, butter, ice-cream, and yoghurt. These things get processed.
Dairy products are one of the main things produced in New Zealand.
