Sinner
A Paradise novel
By TeD DekKER
In this book you will meet 4 people
Billy, Darcy, Johnny, and Marsuvees Black. This story will have your mouth dropping and your eyes wide it’s that good.
To me this story shows Honesty
Why, because Billy has to tell people that he has a gift to help others people.
This story takes place in a little town named paradise.
In that little town every one thought that they were safe but little did they know that in church kids were being held prisoners for a research project when something went wrong.
In the story Billy, Darcy, and Johnny find a hidden door and they go into it and that’s when they meet Marsuvees Black a man that is offering special powers for the 3 of them only.
When only they are the bait for his little game on destroying the world but they take the powers.
Billy can see if you’re telling the truth, Darcy can have you say things that you would never say, and Johnny
Can see all of your SINS.
Nearly 20 years later they still have their powers when Marsuvees Black wants to kill them because they wont help him destroy the world and he starts with Darcy until Billy gets the sense that something is going to happen to Darcy so he drives to her house Billy has not seen Darcy since they left the church 20 years ago
But when he sees her he starts to remember things so vividly about things that he tried so hard to forget.
The reason I picked this book is because it does have honest in it and it also talks about good and bad right from wrong.

I think the book Dairy Queen by Catherine Murdock falls under tolerance because two high school kids are made to tolerate each other, and neither of them likes it. At first D.J. Schwenk really hates Brian. He is stuck up, full of himself, and looks down upon her and her family. Brian can’t believe he is stuck being trained by some weird, country girl, and is totally against it. Throughout the book the two learn to tolerate each other, and even become friends. Another example of tolerance is D.J.’s friend Amber. Amber isn’t like other girls and D.J. can’t do anything about it. These are both examples of how Dairy Queen shows tolerance.

Own the Zone
This basketball book is great! It tells you all about how to run a zone defense and how to run it correctly and it also tells you how to run a zone offense that works. There are lots of good stories about how zone defense helped certain teams win NCAA championships and NBA championships. This book also tells theories thought of by players and coaches. This book is good for a young person wanting to be a coach or a NBA coach.

I think that this book should go under generosity. I think this because the main character Bruno is very generous to a boy that he meets, that lives across the fence named Shmuel. Bruno through out the book gives Shmuel food and plays with him. One day Shmuel’s dad disappears and Bruno goes under the fence onto the camp that Shmuel lives on. So the two boys go and look for Shmuel’s dad.

Peter and the Secret of Rundoon
Peter is a boy that that would like to find out who his parents were. So he goes to a place called Rundoon and he meets a little fairytale called Tinkerbell and they become best friends. They would tell each other everything.I think peter and the Secret of Rundoon should go under citizenship because it shows respect toward other people and they weren’t judged on how Peter and his friends looks and they didn’t judge other people.

Call Me Hope
Call Me Hope is a book about a girl whose mother doesn’t
respect her. So I would put this book under RESPECT. The
reason her mother doesn’t respect her is because her mother
thinks she is not a lucky girl , so every time her mother insults
Hope (the girl ) she would give herself some points. So if you
want to know more about it you should read the book.

I think the book, Last Christmas, has to do with self control. Practically the whole book is about self control. The school is filled with a lot of cliques but some people would like to hang out with other people but aren’t aloud to. They have to control themselves to keep themselves away from other people. There are also ‘love’ issues with a popular girl falling in love with a popular guy but they aren’t aloud to see each other or even speak of the situation in front of friends.

I think that Playing with the Boys portrays generosity. I think it shows generosity because through out the whole book all of the girls on the soccer team help Lucy make friends and get on the school football team. At the very beginning they help her try out for the soccer team and when she doesn’t make it they help keep her spirits up and get her to try out for the football team. They also stick with her through all of the rumors going around about her. They just show a lot of generosity by giving her friendship and kindness.

Where the bad kids go
In this book, I think the character trait that fits this book is responsibility. After Marlo and older sister Milton die from the explosion at Grizzly mall, they look out for one another through their journey in heck. Throughout the adventure, marlo and Milton work together to escape Heck.

I think Playing with the Boys should go under self-control, because when Lucy moves to California with her dad she has to control her feelings about it or she will hurt her dad’s feelings. When she tries out for the girl’s soccer team with her new friends. When she doesn’t make it she has to be able to control her feelings to keep her pride up. Then her teacher, girls’ soccer coach, tells her that she should try out for the boy’s football team. She tries out for the kicker and makes it but Ben, one of her guy friends, is sad that he got beat by a girl, but he doesn’t really show his true feelings to her till the end…I would say that is some self self-control there. I think that “The Road of the Dead” mainly shows responsibility. Ruben and Cole think it’s their responsibility to find out what happened to their sister. They also think it’s their responsibility to make their mother happy by finding out what happened to their sister. Cole has the responsibility of taking care of Ruben.

The book I read this month is called Fablehaven and it’s written by Brandon Mull. I think this book shows tolerance towards other creatures. Two young kids visit their grandparents during the summer and discover that their grandparents land is a secret preserve for fairies and other magical creatures. They call it Fablehaven. The kids and the grandparents are the only ones around that know about Fablehaven and its occupants because most people wouldn’t believe what they were seeing. The two kids believe and they tolerate the fairies and other creatures pretty well. They accept them for what they are and that’s something our society needs to work on, tolerating others that are different.

Pink and Say
I thought this was a very interesting book consisting of how a boy soldier is a deserter and is shot while deserting. And he is eventually found by another boy that has lost his group and is looking for them. He then takes the wounded boy to his house a few miles away. The wounded boy then heals up and the boys decide that they need to go back into the war. They leave the house and are going through the open plains when they are captured by marauders and are took to a train and then are transported to a camp where there is no food, no water, or shelter. Eventually the boy that was shot gets out of the camp at the end of the war. And it is said that the other boy was hung shortly after he was taken to the camp. This relates to Responsibility the character traits of that the one boy is brave and the other that doesnt want to go back to the war because he is scared of dieing.

In the book sticky fingers, Jenna would fall under the theme of responsibility.
She falls under responsibility because she has to be responsible for the actions that her and her boyfriend do. Also, the stuff that her and her friends do in the book like going to parties. She has to make sure that she doesn’t drink or do drugs. Then at the end of the book when her boyfriend slips a drug into her drink, when she finally give into drinking, she has to be responsible for the consequences that face her.

The first book in the Blue Bloods Series is the Blue Bloods. In this book there is the Van Alen Family, who are wealthy and powerful, vampires living in Manhattan. Schuyler Van Alen is different, she is not a full blood vampire but half human-half vampire. She struggles to fit in her school, Duchense and she has just found out that there are stronger beings hunting them... silver bloods. This book shows citizenship because she was born into that world and has as much rights as any of the other vampires. Also becauseshe owes allegiance to the vampires.
